I've always liked Stamboli so it's good that he's getting a run in TNA. Does anyone know why WWE didn't pick him up after he had a tryout a few months ago I thought they were going to sign him? according to wikipedia, he was gonna be signed but his name was on the steroid list so the WWE decided to stay away from him. I thought they stayed away from him due to the whole "Redrum meaning Murder backwards" thing.

It's like the wrestler whose name translates to Black Abyss in Mexico. All holes appear black when you look at them.
Crimson Blood...I can dig, I suppose. Would prefer TNA to keep their roster as it is now without any new talent (hell, give them time to push Jimmy Rave) before anyone new comes in.
Nothing against Stamboli. He's been doing alright for himself, and this gimmick does look interesting.
The way I see it, it's a mixed bunch.

Also, he has been renamed "Crimson Blood" which I think is a better character name than a stolen movie line. I garuntee they're changing the name because they don't think people will get the meaning of Redrum. Or maybe it's just so they can get the copywright. Since I doubt the murder thing matters since one of their more popular stars is named Homicide

A while ago there was a thread talking about what to call Mitchell's stable and someone suggested Mitch's Bitches, which I thought was hilarious.

I don't know about the name Crimson Blood, but Redrum sounds more like a pirate name. "Arrrr, I be Redrum, the drinkingest pirate there ever was!"

I love the signing. Johnny has always been one those that seemed to have a lot of talent and the potential to be a big star. I remember seeing him press slam Rikishi with no help and was amazed. His hardcore matches with Terry Funk were awesome by WCW standards as well. I'd love to see what TNA can do with him.

Just because some of you don't like it doesn't mean there's not a huge market for it and it can't be a success (see: The Undertaker and Kane for example).
I think he has an awesome look, much more so than Judas Mesias. Combine that with the fact that Hugger's not a bad worker, and I think he'll be a big time player in TNA for quite a while.
Another young talent the WWE dropped the ball on.

I think I'd buy a hardcore belt. They have the scene already and they don't seem to know what to do with it except throwing some weird "Shop of Clockwork Orange Funhouse Horrors Monster Mash" onto their PPV cards.
Stamboli looks awesome, and I wish he'd take Reign's place and we can all pretend Reign never existed.

Hmmm.... Black Reign, Crimson Blood, Havok, Judas Mesias and...hey, why not Raven? vs. Abyss and.....who else? I'd rather them keep continuity and keep Raven against Mitchell. Raven had a promo saying he wanted to face Abyss, so maybe they can become friendly foes who team up against Mitchell but then have their own program. Maybe Sabu and Sandman can make a few appearances to team with Abyss.
