Did anyone else see this?
Mike O'Brien's Northeast Wrestling independent show on 11/3 in Scranton, PA drew 2,800 fans. The main event featured TNA world champion Kurt Angle defeating Christian Cage. TNA, with a weekly national cable show, have difficulty drawing crowds half the size. The show was also highlighted by Samoa Joe beating AJ Styles and Jerry Lawler defeating Joey Mercury. Sgt. Slaughter also appeared on the show.
I call shenanigans on this one....

If that's in O'Brien's words, nice of him to run down TNA in the same sentence, after agreeing to let them use their talent.

There were some big names on that show. I wouldn't be suprised if it pulled in so many in some place like Philly or Detroit or most of the south.

I call shenanigans, and I'd also point out that the Impact Zone doesn't hold 1400, which is why it would have trouble drawing a crowd that large.

I think he was taking a shot there house shows which I believe are only drawing 800 to 1800 fans depending on reports not the iMPACT Zone. With the stars on the show I could see them drawing that many but, it does sound suspect.

If it's true then that's good,it seems like the territorial days when promotions would sell out small arenas and convention centers.

TNA doesnt draw because:
1. Its real expensive. They charge way too much for tickets, and theyre too young to do that.
2. Its too indy for WWE fans, too mainstream for Indy fans.
3. They have suffered from bad booking, althought thats picked up. And an Identity crisis.

Hell, they did well over 1000 the week before. Mike O'Brien knows how to promote. Most hack promoters don't. Who knows why TNA doesn't draw. NEW tickets aren't exactly cheap either. So for all you crappers, this is a legit number for the show. NEW is a great promotion. They know how to bring people in. They have meet and greets and give casual fansa reason to go to the show. It's a great mix of talent also. ROH isn't the only Indy you know...

I'm not sure of the venue.
This was the most recent Scranton show though. I think it was last weekend.

Have you guys seen the venues TNA does house shows at? They look very small to me. I think I saw a clip of Jay Lethal and it looked like they were in a High School Gym and the ring look small.

I believe it's the Catholic Youth Center which is now known as the Lockawanna Student Council Center.
