...now under the name Pro Wrestling Ohio.
It's essentially the same product, except with a new name and a new location (Lakewood Masonic Temple instead of Turner's Hall), but it's some pretty good indy stuff to watch on a Sunday night. Johnny Gargano looks like a star in the making.

Is someone new running it, because JT Lightning had a bitch fit and quit or something.

I'm not sure. All I know is that I looked at the SportsTime Ohio listings and saw "Pro Wrestling Ohio", thought "cool, a new promotion to take the spot of CAPW", and realized it was the same thing.
Although I do remember hearing about JT Lightning, and he more than likely is not there.

Johnny Gargano looks like a star in the making. Found out thanks to 'Crapper Some Ben Guy (who incidentally works for PWO as Benny Boone, an Al Bundy type gimmick) during Cyber Sunday at Uptown/Downtown in Bowling Green. I may give it a look see, but since the next showing is going to be directly coinciding with the OSU/Michigan game, my involvement may be somewhat restricted. And for those not in the know, Lakewood Masonic Temple is in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Note to self: make sure you know what you're talking about next time...

I checked out their website, and I'm really happy to see some young guys being their stars. I've been to a few CAPW shows and watched their show, and one problem I had was that they always wanted to feature really old legends. Zoltan for example. The first show I saw was when Claudio Castagnoli won the CAPW title, and the next show was Castagnoli vs Daniels vs Danielson, which was my favorite match from the promotion. Then all the sudden, it became about booking really old guys, they gave the belt to Tracy Smothers, and it just went down hill. I'm glad to see something has taken its spot.

Have they vacated all the titles, or have they just renamed them and kept them on the same titleholders?

I don't know. It doesn't say anything about titles on their site.

I'm pretty sure that PWO and CAPW aren't related in any way, aside from using the same talent. According to CAPW's Myspace page, they are planning to relaunch in January. Johnny Gargano looks like a star in the making. Agreed. I've been really impressed with his work in IWC.

CAPW isn't relaunching in January. It's closed forever.

Doesn't matter. All I know is that I have a neat little local promotion to watch on Sunday nights that I'm familiar with.
And to be honest, I'd rather listen to PWO's announcers than Tenay and West.

I once hung out with Hobo Joe and Ben Boone at White Castle.
That's my contribution to the CAPW/PWO thread.

Heres insider information. PWO is a rip off CAPW pretty much it is run by Wally who was JTs right hand man, Johnny Gargano one of JTs students and Matt Cross another of JTs students. It pretty much is CAPWs roster with a few added in guys. Unlike JT they will most likely not use any "names" which is fine by me.
Now i do not like JT in anyway shape of form but he was kinda screwed over by the 3 above people as they took everything he got for CAPW and stole it, but thats the bizz. JT is done for good he now does Punk Rock shows instead of wrestling.
PS Hobo Joe is probably one of the coolest people in this buisness.

Almost all of the alleged "insider information" in this thread is completely inaccurate. For the record, to clarify, Pro Wrestling Ohio is not in any way connected or affiliated with CAPW or any other promotion. Yes, many of the faces on PWO TV were also in CAPW, however there are many new faces now as well, and more will continue to filter in in the coming weeks and months. PWO's goal is to take the best talent in the region (throughout Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Michigan etc.) and give them a platform such as the Sports Time Ohio network to showcase themselves. And believe me there is a plethora of guys in the area who deserve far more buzz than they've been getting who will no doubt shine on STO. CAPW had a number of extremely talented individuals throughout the company, so it's only natural that several of them wind up in PWO as well. It is in no way an attempt to emulate anyone else. As you watch the shows, you'll see PWO and CAPW have very little in common. It all boils down to a completely different philosophy of utilizing and presenting the individual talents and product as a whole. PWO returns with an all new episode on Sports Time Ohio on November 17 & 18. Next live event is November 17 in Lakewood. www.pwowrestling.com

By the way CAPW is returning in Jan. I wonder how many people will run back there after seeing the horrible product the other guys put out.
