A shocking development to start Nitro on 12/18/95, just a couple of weeks before Starrcade as WWF Women's Champion Alundra Blayze shows up on Nitro as her former persona of Madusa from her earlier WCW days, and has the WWF Women's title with her! Great find... and a great moment in the Monday Night War. I always thought it was funny that a garbage can just happened to be sitting there too. I mean, is there usually a garbage can there? It's not like the announcers are gonna be throwing stuff away where broadcasting.
Best line of the clip though is Heenan's "What a doll"

This ended up being a huge mistake on WCW's part. Bret mentions it in his book. WCW got sued by Vince because they showed a WWF trademark on their program. WCW didn't have a leg to stand on.

Honestly, I seem to remember WCW potentially having a women's division at that time too. I vaguely remember that around this time when Madusa returned, they brought in Bull Nakano and Aja Kong. Maybe that was pre-Madusa though, I don't rememeber.
But yeah in retrospect, this was probably the worst mistake she ever made.
