TNA is negotiating with Scott Hall to do more dates for the company. However, he is wrestling regularly in Puerto Rico and that is his first obligation. They'll have to schedule his TNA appearances around his dates in Puerto Rico.
They're taping three weeks of Impact next week over the course of two days (Monday & Tuesday). Hall is scheduled to be at the TV tapings this Monday and Tuesday, so we could be seeing him on Impact for the next three weeks.
Hall's appearance on Impact on Thursday garnered TNA the highest viewership they've had since expanding the show to two hours.
Another washed up star?

I like Scott Hall, but hiring another washed-up wrestler isn't the way to go.
Plus, as we've seen in the past, Hall is not too reliable.

Well, it says work a few more dates, not sign a contract. He's still committed to Puerto Rico.
Its not like he'd be a permanent fixture or anything.

I don't know why everyone is so against him coming to TNA. Lie comahan says, it's not like he's a permanent fixture or anything. Also, it's been said that Hall has cleaned himself up and is actually doing good these days.

If he's having an affect on the ratings, keep him as long as that is the case.
But don't make booking plans that require him. He can and will vanish in the blink of an eye.
Don't ever let him hold a title, even one half of the tag belts. I think he vacated three or four titles in WCW in 99.

Now I have a reason to watch this show.

He didn't have that much of an effect on ratings. They only went up by about 200,000 viewers or so. And that might not even have been him. Raw ratings flutuates all the time and its not down to one person.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I do not always watch Impact... but I specifically watch this week's because I knew Hall was gonna be on.
This week of wrestling had the reunion of DX, and the reunion of the Outsiders. I guess DX revival was just done to death over the past year, so an Outsiders reunion was actually something new.

Part of the problem will Hall, and it's the same problem Flair has, is that he simply doesn't look like a threat anymore. He's too old and not in very good shape. No way could I picture him kicking Joe, Angle or even Sting's ass.

I'm a huge Hall mark, and I don't see him wrestling full-time in TNA, and I doubt he wants to. In his Keller shoot, he talked about how he'd most like to be involved in TNA as a backstage agent or member of the creative team.
That said, throwing him on TV for skits/interviews can only be a positive for TNA. This isn't Kip James or Rikishi we're talking about...this is Scott Hall. IMO, he'll be cool and relevant as a TV personality until he's 70. Even as a fat, washed-up old man, he just gets it.
I don't want to watch him wrestle, and I doubt we'll have to very much if he is around. And if he does wrestle, it's not like he'll be squashing young guys. He'll bump for everyone, and always jobs. Like I said, this isn't Kip James or Rikishi.
And as long as Hall's got his head clear, he's one of the few old guys that can add positive value, star power, and help an upcoming national promotion like TNA. There are a lot of lost fans out there that remember him and like him (he was one of the top 7 or 8 most "over" acts from the Monday Night War-era...and they aren't signing Rock, Hogan, Austin, Foley, or Goldberg), and his "hanging around" on TV offers a stamp of approval to TNA.

At least his appearance made somewhat of a difference in the ratings. Not that it could've just been something else, but still...
It's SCOTT HALL!!!

Outsiders vs Steiners vs Dudleys vs NAO in a final-final* battle to decide who was the best tag team 10 years ago.
*"Final" until Harlem Heat reunites and they have to do this all over again.

One thing I liked about Hall's appearance was how he acknowledged that he's past his prime and getting up there in age, as opposed to some guys who do the same tired shtick for 10 years after it's expiration date. Like for example, Hall made a joke about how he dyes his hair. To me, that is a guy who is admitting that he is not a young guy anymore, and he's just there having fun with it.

Scott Hall was just on AAA beating up Cibernetico with X-Pac and The Truth. That ruled so much.
As long as he's with Nash and Nash can get away from Kurt Angle, I'm all for Hall in TNA.

I never watch Impact but I watched this week just to see Hall and I was very happy with how he looked. If Hall stays then I will keep watching. I am just glad that this Scott Hall no longer exists.

Another thread winner. I'm very excited about Hall in TNA. And by the reports that have been coming out, he seems to have his head clear, and I think TNA is a good place for him, personally. Little to no travel (sans his Puerto Rico dates) and he'll be around friends: Nash, Jarrett etc. I, for one, welcome our new Outsider overlords.
