I don't think "fixed" is the right term. "Fixed" implies Kimbo was in on it. Can we concede Cantrell just took a dive?

Wow that as a crappy fight. What ever happened to Kimbo vs Tank? Anyone know? Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbott? I'm not big into MMA, but that doesn't sound like it would be an interesting match, at all.

Whether the fight was rigged or not, I can't say. I'd like to think it wasn't. But for anyone saying Kimbo could never be a legitimate threat, and there's a reason he's not in any major promotion, cut the guy some slack, for god's sake. He just started his career. This was his first sanctioned MMA fight. You don't get signed to the big leagues with no fights to your name, unless your special case like BJ Penn or Lesnar. Not one current champion in the UFC started their career in the UFC (unless you count Couture, but he resigned, so it's a mute point). I'm not saying Kimbo is next big thing, don't get me wrong. But at least the man a chance to prove himself. Plus, he's being trained by Bas Rutten, so he's in good hands. thats like saying "you should buy that Goodies Headache Powder from that guy who untill a few months ago was a drug dealer! Give him a chance to prove himself before you go assuming it's cocaine! Kimbo has ahd a chance to prove himself. He lost to Gannon because Gannon wanted to actually do some MMA and Kimbo is scared of that. Yeah, Kimbo choked out Ray Mercer... But goddamn, the guys like 9 Trillion years old. My little brother could choke out Ray Mercer! I'd like to see Kimbo in the UFC strictly so he would have no choice but to fight someone his own damn size, and someone with WAY more training than him. Show him what it really means to be bullied... You want Kimbo to impress me? Put him in there against an opponant... Stop feeding guys to him that are half his size or twice his age... Then I'll be impressed

Eh I don't know, that elbow to the side of the head was pretty hard and I'm sure it rocked the dude, so it might be legit. Maybe I need my eyes checked, but It doesn't even look like he landed that.

While I won't argue that he has potential, I don't think he'll ever see that potential as he gets older. I do think that it's a little late for him to start the MMA game, even transitioning from street-fighting. He'll be 34 next year and is only now beginning his training in jiu-jitsu and wrestling and he won't really develop the ....limberness?....in his limbs and joints to really prolong his career.

Bas as a trainer is great. You don't have to be a current fighter to be a good trainer. But Bas is definitely an AWESOME trainer.
