I am pretty sure that this one was the "Good bye" game for the franchise.

I thought FPW Z was the last one, and Returns was heralding the game back.
It's very possible that they've moved onto KOC, and if they have, more power to them. It's an incredible game.
Now if they'd only bring that to the shores next...

I've never liked the Fire-Pro games since I tried the one on the Dreamcast about 5 years ago. They're just no fun in my opinion. Graphics aren't everything, but when the graphics are 10-years behind modern times it's extremely noticeable. I also hate the gameplay and control. It's so rigid and annoying by itself, and then throw in the 2.5-D graphics and the difficulties that causes. I also don't like the plethora of Japanese wrestlers. Some, yes, but not these guys I've never heard of. Give me a game with Smackdown vs RAW's graphics, control and superior gameplay, with about 300 knockoff U.S. wrestlers and 25-50 foreigners, and it would be close to perfect.

Smackdown vs RAW's graphics, control and superior gameplay... I know what all those words mean, but that makes no sense...

Smackdown vs RAW's graphics, control and superior gameplay... I know what all those words mean, but that makes no sense... Superior, as in, it's not a complete bore to play. I know it's "cool" to pretend you prefer the lesser-known wrestling game, but everyone here knows Smackdown! vs RAW is better in nearly every single way.

Ummmm...if that's true, why is it that I was playing Fire Pro Wrestling A this morning, and haven't played SDvR 07 in 8 months? I appreciate your opinion and your belief, but saying that the SD series in superior in nearly every single way makes you sound asinine.

This argument is all irrelevant anyways, as we all know Here Comes the Pain is still the best wrestling game ever released.

Nope, it's for the SNES. It was my first imported game. 18-person battle royals, incredible tag team moves, suicide dives, pretty good create-a-wrestler movelist, very long and difficult career mode, challenging AI, forks, spikes, fire, blood, dozens of top rope moves (including tiger suplexes, DDTs off the top rope, reverse DDTs off the top rope, backdrop drivers off the top rope....).....and pretty mild and cartoony graphics.

video.GOGGLESDONOTHING. com/videoplay?docid=-2372319425130325935 Replace Goggles Do Nothing with Google and the space between the dots with... nothing, and you have American Dragon vs. Mitsuharu Misawa.

Was there ever an American release? Just in case there would hypothetically be ROMs of it out there.

Watching that vid makes me think the first thing I do when I get the game is create AOTF, The Briscoes, and Danielson, and set them against each other in a 6-man hardcore match.

Gekitou Burning Pro-Wrestling is impossible to freaking find. It's very good but Super Fire Pro-Wrestling X slightly better. I would have said Fire Pro Returns is the best but the lack of career mode brings it down. King Of Coliseum II is the best 3D wrestling game with Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 as the second best 3D wrestling game.
