www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/titans/2007-11-13-pacman-plea_N.htmTNA should have never hired this guy in the 1st place, but he would have been bad publicity waiting to happen if he got the contract extension. I can see why they wanted him gone. What's really sad is that they still play his music in the ads for the TNA theme music CD, so they haven't retconned him out of existence.

if TNA were to bob holly pacman who should they use? They'd still use Bob Holly. Remember, they have a thing for WWE employees.

I don't know that this the 'latest' controversy necessarily, it's the same thing, he's just plea bargaining to a misdemeanor on the charges they already had him on.
In the long run, I don't think the Pacman thing really hurt or helped them, they got a couple of ESPN mentions, perhaps that led to a buy or two, really that was all they could expect from a guy who isn't exactly the status of Peyton Manning etc in the NFL.

I take issue with this... Pacman was never a star.

I take issue with this... Pacman was never a star. The Stonecutters might have something to say about that..... Oh no wait, they are the Society of No Pacmans now. Except Pacman Glumpkin.

if TNA were to bob holly pacman who should they use? Norman Smiley? Either him or D-Ray3000... in fact, both of them and Shark Boy as The Pacmen Joneses.

I dunno I think paying a guy $25K just to show up and not wrestle and make everyone turn down their seriousness in the ring even during serious angles...well...frankly that had to have pissed off someone in the locker room. But you're right. In the long run, no damage, no benefit. Short-run, ratings drop and no discernable buyrate spike.

Pacman Jones is, and always will be, a piece of crap. TNA totally blew whatever they paid his sorry ass.
