I'm wondering why they're being called "bland" tights...in fact, from what I can tell, they have a design specifically meant to match Roderick Strong's trunks. So I'm not seeing where the tights come into the equation.

I still think Davey's got all the tools to become the next Benoit. And looking like him is a calculated move, I'm sure.

He's driving the fans nuts with this. You may think it's too soon, but if that's what fans are going to chant at him, he'll might as well fuel the fire and go all out. I don't think he means any disrespect to the Benoit family, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

Also, I don't believe in cheap heat. Heat is heat in my opinion.

Also, I'm hoping to see him and Max Boyer go at in the ring someday.

I just don't get why fans might see it as bad taste. It's the chants that are in bad taste.

i remember at the Undeniable taping I sat next to a few fans that were all chanty nasty towards davey.....except one who was very quiet.....until the crowd died down a little, than he screamed "PUT EM IN A BODY BAG DAVEY!"

needless to say the crowd laughed, but i thought it was f***in harsh

Recently when watching Davey Richards matches, I have been noticing he's been wrestling very similar to Benoit. Like, as a babyface, he wrestled similar to how he does now, but as a heel, he has more of a vicious streak, and he has more intensity, and that's what Benoit did have. I didn't notice wrestling tights or whatever, and I guess I didn't hear the Benoit chants during his match with Pac, but I don't know.

I've just been noticing his wrestling looks more like Benoit's. I think one reason that is though is because Benoit is not around anymore, so I didn't notice as much when I would watch Richards, and then watch Benoit. Like, the amount of wrestling I watch is ridiculous, that's all I watch, because I don't have a tv in my closet that I sleep in in Fort McMurray, lol. I just download wrestling and watch that. So I watch tons of wrestling, and now that I only see one guy doing that style, it's so much more noticable. Plus, the fact that Benoit committed those horrible acts and Davey was similar to him anyway, he was screwed no matter what. Because before, he may've been compared to Benoit in a good way. Now, he's compared to Benoit, but Benoit is now viewed in a completely different light.

As far as the cheap heat goes, if he's doing it on purpose, I think it's because the crowd started it, and he's just going along with it. Because if they're going to chant it anyway and not be stopped, you might as well do something about it. Davey is in a tough spot. It's not like you can tell him not to wrestle like that (though Gabe could have his guys take it easy sometimes to save themselves for the future). So like, Davey I guess always looked and wrestled similar to Benoit, and now that Benoit is not around, he's the only guy who's doing it on a decent sized stage (Max Boyer's style is similar to Benoit's, but he's not seen as much as Davey Richards).

If Davey changed for them, it'd just make people call him a sellout. It's a no win situation, and something that makes me think fans can be complete scum.

If I was working Davey and that happened, I'd be tempted to just walk away from the ring, or do nothing but headlocks. Screw the admission price, you just lost yourself a show.
