Jimmy Rave vs. Nigel from Dethroned!

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted on the forums because I've been busy with school, and such.

I'm on the show Dethroned in my ROH following. I have ever show of 06 now, and I just started my 07 collection.

A few hours ago I watched Rave vs. Nigel at Dethroned, and I have to say that was the most boring 19 and half minutes I've ever watched in a wrestling match. Nigel carried Jimmy, and I never want to see a Jimmy Rave match go that long again. If it would have been 11-14 minutes it wouldn't be so bad. I gave it a low 3 and 1/4-1/2 star rating. Just because Nigel looked good in the match.

Any way, what did you guys think of this match? Keep in mind also I don't know what the current story lines are for Jimmy Rave and Nigel, so please don't tell me that in your reply's because I've been trying to stay away from the news wire's, and such so I can be surprised when I watch the dvd's.

No they did face each other at Dethroned.

Anyway it was probably a bad one off for them. I loved both their matches at Final Battle 2006, and FYF - Finale. And off the top of my head Rave's had at least one awesome long match before; against Danielson at 4th Anniversary Show.

Personally, I thought that these two just never clicked. They'd either go too slow or too crazy.

I never really thought they had a lot of chemistry, or at least Rave with anyone. I just could never get into him no matter how well booked he was. I couldn't take him seriously in his last heel run (he's too small and not imposing enough for that killer instinct role) but never felt like he could set the pace well for his matches during his previous runs. They wanted to do a traditional "Face gets beat down and pinned every time until the big victory" feud but it felt like a step down for Nigel. I've never seen the Dethroned match but I'd never heard a positive thing about the match. Rave quitting again was the best thing that could've happened in July 2007
