![](http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/2328/jimmyjamld1.jpg) So was Jimmy Garvin "Gorgeous"? I know, we're largely straight guys here, and I'm not really asking if he's attractive, but was this a cool look? Are you surprised he got Precious? I say Yes, it's a cool look.

He looks like my father.
Yeah, that's all I've got. He could be 'Gorgeous', if you're into that kind of thing. That thing being grown white men with a 'fro-mullet and ugly 80's shades.

Look up (on YouTube) the WCCW skit where he has to do chores for David Von Erich. THAT is gold!

He's got a cool look especially for that time period. I only knew of the Freebirds comprised of him and Michael P.S Hayes, one of the greats in WCW/NWA.

I liked the storyline where Ron Garvin gets hit by a fireball and Jimmy comes to his rescue, becoming a babyface in the process.

Garvin rules! He is also an airline pilot I THINK for Northwest Airlines. He was one of my all time favorites and played his gimmick well. I wasn't that much of a fan of Jimmy Jam though. Hey that rhymed! AWWWWWWWW YEAHHH BOYEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! I'm a rapper!

Poodle hair is not gorgeous. I think. Anyway, heel or face, I was a fan of his in the mid 80's.

Garvin was the man. He required his valet Precious used to spray Lysol all around the ring before his matches to disinfect it. Classic heel antics.

Classic heel of the 80's. He was entertaining in World Class and the AWA. It took nothing less than Dusty's booking to goober up his gimmick.

Loved Garvin in the 80s, when he was David Von Erich's bitch for the day on the Von Erich farm that is some of the funniest crap in wrestling history.
He wasn't a great freebird thou, wonder why wcw didn't sign terry gordy, maybe he just made better money in Japan.

He looks so bad now though, at least ten or 15 years older than he really is
