Not saying if it's true or not, but probably it(which I seriously doubt) happened after this particular taping as Vince hadn't said or even thought about bringing back Savage.
Doesn't really debunk anything really.

That was one of the very few times, before they went public, that WWE ever acknowledged that someone had left the company. Bret Hart is pretty much the only other one I can remember. I don't believe they ever even said that Hogan left the company when he left in 1993.

They didn't, I remember when Vince was doing an interview with Yoko prior to Summerslam in 93, he mentioned the list of contenders and mentioned Hogan's name amongst them as if he might come back.

I thought the whole trouble started from Macho try to debunk Steph in the first place.
It was very unusual for Vince to do it. Maybe it was like a Mafia kiss. Friendly on the face of it but it was a "you'll never work in this town again sister" moment. If Vince would call Savage sister that is, I doubt they had that kind of relationship

If the rumor was true at all, someone probably would of said something about it in a shoot by now. No way it could possibly be THAT covered up.
Besides, if the rumor was even remotely true, the fact that Randy Savage is usually kind in his words of WWE would be quite odd.
I think the issue is usually WWE trying to appease Hogan, knowing Hogan and Savage hate each other.

Vince was a bit nervous, wouldn't you agree? He must've repeated the name "World Wrestling Federation" about 10 times in a 45 second span. In any event, I can't ever remember a sendoff like this for another wrestler. McMahon must have really respected Savage.
What the hell happened between then and now???

Vince probably still cares about Savage, seeing as how he was in the original "History of the WWE" sort of video package with Kid rock playing at least 3 or 4 times, and not just quickly in passing.

Vince choose Hogan over Savage for the postWCW work. However, with Hogan more or less done with the WWE... I would not be surprised to finally see that Macho Man DVD.

Vince is the boss of a large bunch of big, tough guys. If Macho Man did anything with Steph, Macho wouldn't be alive and would share a grave with Jimmy Hoffa. He wouldn't've had a farewell like that

I know it's just an urban legend but let's just say it was true. Stephanie would've been 18 at this point. Now how many 18 year olds tell their father everything? Especially when it comes to sex. Macho could've easily screwed her and then it wasn't found out until AFTER he got the great sendoff. Secrets can be kept for quite a while.

You know you really WANT to tell Vince all your sexy secrets... But I'm right there with ya...I don't think it happened, but keeping things under wraps is nothing new in wrestling. As I tell people, constantly, wrestling is a very dirty, underhanded business.
