Sorry. No, The 6 sided ring gives them a stand out feature that every company needs. Maybe instead of making a superficial change that will have no real effect on the future of the company, focus should go on that which truly makes a wrestling company, the talent. They have talent that can work quite well in the 6 sided ring and guys like Angle, Sting, Team 3D and, Christian have adapted quite well to it as well. If people have trouble watching the matches because the ring has two extra sides to it, than they are paying attention to the wrong thing. If the camera work wasn't so bad and shoddy I think most people wouldn't have a problem with the ring. Yeah, I do think one of the biggest things that could help TNA is a huge improvement in the production values. Its sounds like a silly complaint but, bad production can and, IMO, has really hurt TNA at times.

I'm surprised at the number of people who don't mind the six sided ring because the people who think it sucks are very loud and staunch. I'll never understand how the number of sides a ring has can determine weather someone can get into a product. Granted, the overall condition of the ring effects my ability to get into the product.

This debate just keeps coming back...
The six-sided ring is the only thing TNA has right now to make them seem like a real alternative, rather than just a cheap version of WWE.

Yes. The six sided ring is dumb and gimmicky. Want to know what a casual wrestling fan will say the first time they see a TNA show?
"Why does the ring have six sides?"
Want to know what they'll say the second time they see it?
"This is stupid."
It sort of just begs for attention and takes away from the product that is being offered IN the ring.

I think making a larger ring may help with the size issues, as the ring is slightly smaller than what many are used to.
But otherwise, it works for them.

No.
It's their gimmick... why needlessly change it?
It's a pointless gimmick... but their gimmick none the less.

I still maintain that any issue about the ring should be part of a whiny heel character in TNA. Some newcomer who arrives to the company and bitches about the ring, stating that its a health risk and refusing to wrestle in it unless he gets some form of compensation (getting a 20 count instead of a 10 count, allowed a 3 strike system when using weapons). Finally TNA management along with a babyface who's sick of his whining, work out an agreement with the heel, in which the two will have a match-up on PPV (one that could have been taped before or takes place in an arena away from the show) in a four sided ring, with the stipulation that if the heel wins, TNA will re-institute the old ring, but if the face wins, the heel must wrestle in the 6 sided ring without any handicaps. To make it easy, Jim Cornett should just start going crazy, going into an oldschool mode. Changing the ring, and other oddball TNA things. This could also apart of some oldschool vs. newschool fued.

I have to vote YES on this one. I love TNA, but the six-sided ring should've stayed south of the border. It comes off too gimmicky to me. I guess its because in my 29 years, I've always known wrestling to be performed in a 4-sided ring, whether I was watching WWF, WCW, NWA, AWA, or even GLOW. I like the two seperate entry ways, but the six-sided ring doesn't do it for me. Learn to accept and embrace change.
