I still mark out over this. I remember watching it live. While I was never on board the Lex Express, I still love that day.

forget bret-austin, It only took one MOVE to make Luger a face HELL YEAH! I absolutely lost my mind I was marking out so hard when this first aired. Can I get a "Lex Luger Ruled From January '93 to early August '93 High Five"?

Wow.... watching this again, this really was some of the greatest booking EVER. Just watch how fast the crowd turns to Lex's side, especially after he shoves Heenan.
And damn Vince really SELLS the moment. I sometimes forget he actually was a great announcer from time to time.

Hated it. Hated it, hated it, hated it.
As a lil' 8 year old Hulkster, I was annoyed that Hogan wasn't doing it, and felt gypped that if, well, if Hulk couldn't do it, why not Macho Man, or someone actually cool?
I never, ever liked Lex Luger when I was young. Not as the Narcissist, not as the all-American (even as a kid, it felt like such a forced, fake turn to me), and especially not in the Wolfpac back in '98.

I remember seeing the helicopter land and being like WOAH WHO IS THIS?!?!?! THIS RULES!!!!! And then Luger came out. Yeaaaah.

anybody here remember going to one of the Lex Express mall autograph signings? Apparently, I didn't think he was over enough since he never won the strap. It looked corny seeing him getting congratulated by the other wrestlers from winning via count-out. Was Vince just saving the title victory for Wrestlemania X and along the way, he noticed that Bret Hart was more over than Lex, so Bret got the title instead.

I think Lex was scheduled to win the strap, got drunk, blabbed about in a bar, and Vince got pissed and decided not to do it.

So weird to hear Face McMahon as an announcer after over a decade of him being heel.
Scott Steiner as a young normal looking guy is also pretty much of a trip, considering how different he looks now.

I really enjoyed Yokozuna destroying Tatanka. That was wonderful.

I think some people thought Hogan was coming as you could hear some chanting his name. Bill Fralic didn't do too badly either as nearly got Yoko up as did Crush.
