Why don't I remember this? Because it was on WCW Worldwide. Which, while it hadn't faded into absolute obscurity then, was still nowhere near their most important show.

Actually before Nitro, it was probably their 2nd most important show as title changes and storylines would be advanced on that show. I think a lot of people only remember the latter years and forget about that.

It seemed like a much more distant second than like Raw/Smackdown though. The whole taping at Disney months in advance in front of mostly tourists who had no idea what was going on kinda hurt it.

But they'd do that at Center Stage as well. I remember Harlem Heat winning the tag team belts from Stars & Stripes in early January of 1995 and later on I'd find out that the match took place in the first week of December of 94. I don't think it hurt that much really. I don't think it was distant at all, at least not until Nitro came out then it took a step down as Saturday Night was the B show and Nitro the A show. I think a lot of people forget that Worldwide had a lot of big matches on there like Flair/Savage, Steiners/Luger&Sting, Steamboat/Austin,etc. and just assume that it was only squash matches.
