Im sorry but I disagree....to me Konnan has put on some great matches but I think he half asses a lot of the time. Im not just talking about his infamous ROH match where he walked through the whole thing either. I seriously think he just half asses a lot of his work. He can deliever a promo. But I dont think hes underrated at all.
One of my favorite matches he had was against Eddie Guerrero at Uncensored 96 though. But yeah sorry....I dont think hes THAT great.
EDIT: I do agree that hes put on good matches....but hes just one of those guys that never really got better....He peaked then kind of just got worse. And to me hes also been sort of a prima-donna. Haha I know it sounds like im bashing Konnan here...but I mean I just dont think hes underrated. Im done now though

How ironic that Botchamania 31 just came out showing us a completely horrible Konnan performance from WCW.

When he goes all out he can be good, but he rarely ever did. He looked like he half cared, thats why his matches were crap.

He was alright, but he is far more valuable for his knwledge of wrestling. More of a teacher than anything else, which is still something to be very proud of.

Well maybe I just don't remember Konnan as being an awesome power-lucha wrestler, since when I was 13 I cared about Hogan and Nash in the nWo, but knowing what he has done for luchadores in America, and also what he has done in Mexico, coupled with the fact that he could mat wrestle and do some excellent high risk moves, I can see why he is the Hulk Hogan of Mexico.

Well honestly, why would Konnan take the blame for it being a bad match? 3 sides to every story but only one angle....or something.

You couldnt possibly expect a decent match looking at that on paper.

If I remember right, One Man Gang beats Sasaki for the US title about a week after Starrcade. Konnan then defeated OMG for the US title in early January of 96 on either Main Event or Worldwide. Thats off the top of my head, so im not 100% positive.

Actually the PWI Almanac that I have says that Gang/Sasaki took place at the PPV but didn't air on the PPV. That explains it

Actually the PWI Almanac that I have says that Gang/Sasaki took place at the PPV but didn't air on the PPV. That explains it They may have taped it there and then aired it on tv the next week or something then. I dont remember if it was Gang beating Sasaki or Konnan beating Gang, but it seems like one of the matches they made a big deal out of, like it happened at a house show or something and they were hyping up the footage. I may be thinking of something else though.
