They never had contracts, but they did appear on TNA TV and got paid for their (brief) appearances. No contract means not hired. TNA declined to employ them.

See once folks get started this, it just snowballs out of control. Nevertheless, for the most part, folks can agree that a person is usually most identified with where the hit it big. For example, someone on this thread referred to Raven as a 'WWE reject.' MOST fans would say Raven is an ECW guy. That's where he started the name and gimmick he used in WCW and then WWE. A person could try to argue that Scott Levy was in WWF before he was Raven as Johhny Polo, but that wasn't when he became a success.

By the same token, John Cena is a UPW guy.. ;D Exactly. Usually I associate guys with the company where they currently work, but if not I think of a person as being associated with the company where they first became famous. Sting will likely always be considered a WCW guy and RVD will always likely be thought of as an ECW guy even though they both worked for other companies before, and other companies since then.

With that said, Carlito is a WWE guy simply because he has been pretty important to the company at times. If he was to go to any other company as.. say... Carly Colon, people aren't going to accept it. He's Carlito for life now.

you can't assume he would become a star just because he went to some other company. He should probably just stick to the money.... it isn't like he's going to be fired up about wrestling all the sudden just because he's with the smaller company.

If the "rumors" were true that Carlito wanted to leave, wasn't it mentioned that he never really wanted to be a wrestler, and was pushed into it by his father? If that's the case, wrestle where the money is. Also, I didn't vote because which company I ignore Carlito in is irrelevent.

That's really funny considering several of those guys have no desire to work anymore... or at least not now anyway. Let's just put this in perspective... Raven, Perry Saturn, Ken Shamrock, Ron Killings, Christy Hemme, Dustin Rhodes, the New Age Outlaws, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, the Bashams, all three Dudleys, Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible, Scott Steiner, Gail Kim, ODB, Jacqueline Moore, Angelina Love, Jim Cornette, Vince Russo, Jeff Hardy, Jackie Gayda, Test, Rikishi, Christian, Tomko, Rhino, Booker T, and Kurt Angle. All "WWE rejects". All hired by TNA. Meanwhile, who has Vince bothered to sign that TNA dropped? Mickie James, CM Punk, Trevor Murdock, Trinity, and Zach Gowan. That's it. Obviously TNA wants what the WWE has more than vice versa. But Vince FEARS~! TNA, dammit! Ummm... Monty Brown, Justin Credible, Nelson "Big Daddy V" Frazier, Johnny Swinger/Parisi, The Sandman, Sabu, Joey Mercury/Matthews, The Gymini/Johnsons, Tony Mamaluke, Psicosis, Kid Kash, Sonny Siaki, Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka & Dusty Rhodes ALL worked in TNA before their (most recent) WWE stints... And I'm sure I've missed a few. I bet you the WWE didn't even know these guys were in TNA. If you try and say WWE hires former TNA guys as much as TNA hires WWE you are badly mistaken. TNA hires guys the WWE have gotten over. A bunch of the people in your lists happen to be people TNA gave up on when they couldn't get them over or just had nothing for them to do so they dropped them.

You left out the "No one gives a crap" option. I'm throwing my 2 cents behind this guy's 2 cents.
