www.youtube.com/watch?v=01LkMPtKhGowww.youtube.com/watch?v=dzqpRaqXvQAI was watching all things WWF at the time, but I don't remember Von Erich getting any sort of revenge on DiBiase after this. It can't even be classified as a feud. DiBiase just moved right into his program with Dusty, I believe. What was the story behind this? Was a KVE-DiBiase feud originally planned, and then the Tornado's demons got in the way?

IDK..
It could be the demons, but that was a while before it started to show. He was still near the top around 6 months later.

Just to give the quick story.... The week before this, Dustin Rhodes was a guest on the Brother Love show. DiBiase tried to buy him and make him just like Virgil. Dustin refused and they attacked him. Kerry made the save. So the following week DiBiase got revenge for Kerry embarassing him by costing him the title. They had 2 matches in December but Ted had knee surgery and missed a few weeks. He and Kerry wound up having matches on house shows all the way through March. After Virgil turned face he even appeared with Kerry at ringside for most of these matches.

The program with Dusty was actually already going on since DiBiase bought Sapphire at Summerslam. You're right, you're right. I was thinking ahead to the Royal Rumble and meant to say Virgil, not Dusty. I'm surprised they never had a match on SNME or something, given the severity of DiBiase's retaliation. Costing someone a belt was pretty harsh stuff back then, second maybe to locking them in a coffin or siccing a cobra on them.

They had one match during a Superstars taping, not sure if it actually aired on Superstars but it's apparently on the Wrestlefest 91 tape. They also had a match at MSG in early March. So maybe they'll show it on MSG Classics one of these days.

I'm sure they have a match available on tape somewhere, and they feuded at house shows. The taped match will have to serve as the blowoff. The WWF did this alot around '90 and '91, have great feuds that never saw televised matches. Hogan vs Flair and Undertaker vs. Warrior come to mind.
