You can find DVDs at flea markets in Mexican neighborhoods.
I'm not kidding. This one place I went to had 5 different little shops set up with CDs, and each one had a shitload of Lucha Libre that I'd never even heard of.

If you have Direct TV, it airs on Galavision channel early Sunday morning at like 3am. Set your TiVo.

If you have Direct TV, it airs on Galavision channel early Sunday morning at like 3am. Set your TiVo. Same on TW Cable. In fact, AAA airs at 3 PM Sat, 3 AM Sun, and 1PM Sun, although the times sometimes fluctuate. Also, Fox Sports En Espanol has an hour long CMLL show on Sundays, usually at 9 PM EST. And if you ever miss Raw, Mun2 carries Raw repeats on their station every week in English. All of these came on the spanish language tier on TW. I think it costs an extra $5 a month. |

I used to go to my grandma's just for the chance to see AAA on Galavision. (Her cable system had it, mine didn't.)
I moved into this town in 2000 and we had Galavision. So, there was like 3 hours of Luche Libre on every Saturday afternoon.
I switched to a competing cable system a couple of years later, and we don't have Galavision anymore. But I did find the Raw replay on either Saturday or Sunday afternoon on Telemundo.

That luchawiki site is great, is there an equivalent for Japanese and Puro? - Has profiles of pretty much everybody and actual videos of their moves. Go on the www.puroresufan.com message boards too if you have questions. |

Now I get it since AAA was the land of butt sex, but i just thought it was funny.
Gah still don't get how lucha libre has fallen so far, and puro gets so much love on the net these days.

There's some good video recaps on YouTube of companies like CMLL, plus some great matches. I recently watched a very solid if a little confusing Ultimo Guerrero/Mistico match, and intend to watch the Mistico/Black Warrior mask vs mask match soon, as well as a BluePanther/Ultimo Dragon match. |
