Anyone else a huge fan of the Orient Express? I really wish that they had gotten a longer run in the WWF. I absolutely loved their match with the Rockers at Wrestlemania 6, except for the shitty ending. They were too solid as heels, but could have definitely held the Tag Titles during an era that was dominated by the LOD and Demolition.

With the Hart Foundation and Demolition splitting up, they could have kept things going along with Power & Glory (yet another underrated team), Natural Disasters, Beverly Brothers, Nasty Boys, Road Warriors, and Money Inc. (soon to be formed).

Why did Saito leave? I liked Paul Diamond, but I always thought Saito was a perfect fit for this team.

I liked the Express because they were one of the few acts to consistently compete on the syndicated show that I got to see. I really liked Tanaka.

I liked Tanaka when he was in the AWA with Paul Diamond,DDP and "Bad Company".The Orient Express were pretty good at first and then they basically became jobbers losing ALL the time so it was pretty easy to lose interest in them.

I much preferred Kato to Sato. I thought it strengthened the team. Sato just looked like a normal dude to me, not a wrestler.

My only memories of them are of them losing, so I guess I was never on the Orient Express Bandwagon. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Kato in the mask bothered me because it was obvious they were sticking a white guy on the team. Their match at Royal Rumble 1991 against the Rockers was amazing.

Why did Saito leave? I liked Paul Diamond, but I always thought Saito was a perfect fit for this team. During that time WWF wanted to establish a thing with Japan to swap wrestlers so Saito was the guy who would travel back and forth to set things up and work in the office. Saito was the one who arranged for Tenyru and I forgot the other guy to do Mania 7 and in turn help set up Hogan VS Stan Hansen in the EggDome and so on.

Lord Alfred Hayes always made it seemed like Kato had a shot during those Saturday morning main events against the likes of Koko B Ware.
