... but now you like.
This is kinda similar to the thread I started last week(Matches that changed your mind about a wrestler).
What announcements/angles did you hate at the time, but now(either because of time or storyline progression) you like(or at least don't hate)?
Two ROH ones that are kinda similar.
-Rocky Romero being the third member of the NRC.
I was expecting someone huge to be the third member. Romero had worked (I think) one ROH match that whole year. I didn't hate it, but was disappointed. Less than 9 months later, and Romero has easily been the MVP of the NRC(both in and out of the ring).
-Stable Warfare.
To say that Stable Warfare got off to a disappointing start is the understatement of the year, with injuries , Aries being taken away temporarily, and Jack Evans stable being in the "Coming Soon" stage forever. But by about July/August, it was getting very interesting, and by this fall, was on the cusp of being something great. Unfortunately, the cancellation of the the Trios Tourney might have been the final nail in the coffin.

When it was announced that Takeshi Morishima won the ROH title i though, "...wha!?" at the time i only knew morishima as the fat japanese guy who had a shoving match with Joe at Glory by Honor 5 night 2. needless to say i wasn't impressed.
But nearly 10 months later and he has but on possibly the best matches i have seen against the likes of Aries, Nigel, Shingo, Strong, Castagnoli, Albright and Danielson.
He's is also one of the reasons i started to follow NOAH a bit more...that and thr return of kenta kobashi.

When I found out he was to end Cide's reign so early, especially since it was only Mori's second match in the company, I was like "Gabe Gabe Gabe, I hope I know what you're doing." But in what little I've seen of him(I've still probably only seen about 10 of his matches), he's been nothing short of stellar as champion.

I suppose I'd class the Age of the Fall.
I know a lot of people oh here loved it, but I really thought the whole Project 161 thing was lame. Praziak: "prrff some fans trying to steal the spot light, someone cut their mic" it was almost like something Russo would have booked. Trying to make it look like a shoot, like ROH were really being infiltrated by some wierd organisation. Where as something like Save US 222, didnt go into too much detail, and not as obvious that something was "going on".
However, now that the intro of the new faction is out of the way, I quite like the whole dark cult thing they have going on. And anything with Necro Butcher in gets a thumbs up from me.
