What was his last match, feud?
I remember he had a match against Crush at WM10 in 1994 but I don't remember what happened after
How did the WWF explained his absence?

Actually, Vince just went in front of the camera, explained how Savage couldn't come to agreement with the WWF, and Vince thanked him for the memories.

It's a shame Vince hates him now. I'd mark to see Savage return.

None of those responses explain what Savage did those 7 months following 'Mania. I'm with the OP, I can't seem to recall if Savage wrestled or not after his Wrestlemania X match with Crush. I know he kept announcing for RAW after WMX, and wikipedia says his last televised appearance was as color man for Summerslam, but I can't find anything on whether or not he wrestled after that before he jumped to WCW.

didn't he "feud" with Repo Man when he repoed his cowboy hat? I know that match was on Raw. I think it was right after that Macho bolted.

Last match I could find of his was 9/13/94 in Germany. Savage and Bret against Owen and Neidhart

I remember one of the Apter mags (around Oct 1994) lamenting at how Savage was being held back as a wrestler and how a potential feud with Bret Hart could be a success. This was about a month before he left.

The last thing I ever remember Randy Savage doing in the WWF was when he rescued that magazine editor that was in Bob Backlund's crossface chickenwing. Then the next week Vince McMahon made that announcement about not coming to terms on a new contract....at least, thats what my memory tells me, anyway.

I recall reading in someone's book, I wanna say Heenan's, but maybe not...They were waiting to do TV (I guess Superstars) or something and were looking around for Randy. At the time, Nitro happened to be on and Savage appeared and said, "I found Randy. He's on Nitro".
I know I read the story, but I can't recall where. So maybe Savage was working without a contract and just jumped to WCW and that' part of the animosity? I dunno.

He left fall of 94 basically, and nitro was right before fall brawl 95. I question lawler's story on the 'greatest stars of the 80s' dvd of that too. He says that's how he became the commentator of raw, was savage just didn't show up, and they grabbed him to do it.

This was about a month before he left. I always wondered why the hell he stopped wrestling in the WWF, only to start wrestling the second he went to WCW. I really, really hope we someday get a WWE-produced Savage DVD complete with documentary; so many questions regarding the twilight of his WWF career deserve to be answered.

Looks like that, based on Hulk Hogan's shoot on Raw XV, there's a slim chance that Savage may appear in the WWE again.

Savage made his debut on WCW Saturday Night, not Nitro.
