I think he's referring to a standing ssp. You know, the kind Johnny Nitro did regularly on Raw without "is he gonna be fired?!!" threads popping up.

I believe he's been doing the standing version alot as of late.
So if it generated him heat, it would be buckets of heat, which makes me curious as to what a bucket of heat would look like.

Nitro's Shooting Star Handchop was pretty amusing. London's SSP this past monday was probably the best standing variation I've seen in forever. Better than Sonjay Dutt's!!

The ground-based SSP is legal. The top-rope SSP is not. It's probably got something to do with the placement of the knees in flight.

Seriously, you'd rather die doing that thing on the ground than off the top rope where you have more time to pull it off during the rotation. I CRINGE everytime someone tries that move on the freakin ground.

Wish I could find a video of London's SSP off the ladder on Michael Shane in ROH. That was amazing. I wish London could use his SSP as a finisher again.

What was so cool about that was how he did it from the MIDDLE of the ladder (as opposed to the top). I just don't see how anyone could really do a shooting star from that position. It's an amazing spot!

I like the running version.
I like to call it the Banana PeelOut, because it looks almost like they're slipping.
