Just wondering, because I do. Big fan of the classic stuff through the 1980s; a little bit of today's but not much. Everything from Looney Tunes to Herculoids to Inhumanoids. Here's my collection madison-carter.dvdaf.com/owned/animation - it's not complete though, half the PD discs I have aren't even listed on that site.

The four-disc set from Warners? That's such an awesome set. They really worked hard to restore those. Popeye was never a favorite of mine, but that set completely changed my mind.

I also picked up a few dvds from the dollar store a while back that have old epsidoes of popeye, bettey boop, little lulu and cartoons like that. I collect all the Charlie Brown cartoon dealies. Tis a fun passion. I have the holiday episodes but only on cd for my computer

I collect all the Charlie Brown cartoon dealies. Tis a fun passion. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the new sets that WB is releasing of the specials. I wasn't impressed by the ones released by...who was it? Paramount? Little too much DVNR in them. I really hope WB gets off their thumbs and start releasing some of the classic Hanna-Barbara action shows. They released Space Ghost & Dino Boy, but I'm dying to see some Bird Man, Mighty Mightor, Herculoids and Thundarr the Barbarian.

I can tell by your posts that you really care about transfor and restoration but if you really want them bad enough all those cartoons are available on bootleg copies.

See not only do I collect every version of the Charlie Brown specials they put out...I'm one of those obsessives that buys tapes off of ebay of the original recordings of the shows.
You may have your baseball card collection, but gosh darnett, my Charlie Brown Christmas Special has no cuts and is brought to me by Coca-Cola!

I wont lie. sometimes I take videos from youtube and save them to disc. at some point I'll mail them to my brother and he'll put them on dvd. the funny thing is lately I've prefered to watch stuff on my computer

Man, I tried watching the Christmas Special when they showed it on tv last month and I just couldn't. They've absolutely ruined the print they use trying to "clean" it.

I'd try to get it all, and then end up living under a bridge when I couldn't pay rent.

OH I know. Part of the charm of the Christmas special is that it wasn't the greatest quality. There's plenty of copies of the original (hell I have one that looks better than the shyite they put on screen now) but their restoration process takes away the charm of Schultz's classic.

yeah. I actually feel like something is wrong when I see dvds of cartoons I don't have. there are so many I want. but between keeping up with each volume that comes out, new cartoons coming out and old movies being released on dvd. I don't think I could ever catch up. LOL. I have an internet friend that mails me dvds sometimes. but he can only send a few at a time. I'm still waiting for him to send the rest of the pee wee collection. lol

See I generally use Christmas and my Birthday to help me keep up with my various collection habits so I'm generally not that backlogged, and the wifey likes many of the same old movies that I do (the wonderful gal bought me Bullitt for Christmas), so that helps too.
