Oddly enough, I discovered last night that they are indeed real.
They're called Euthanasia Machines. Look it up on Wikipedia under Suicide Booth.
Though the jury's out on whether or not the machine plays Megadeth songs when it's decided it's time for you to die.

In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway American dream At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines I thought you hated Springsteen? I do. Except when I don't. Blame him for releasing such great albums such as Nebraska and Magic, and the rare decent song on other records. Love his songwriting, not so much everything else (voice, his 4 hours ramblings during shows, etc.). Might seem dumb, but that's fine. And about guns, they're not as much a machine as a device or weapon.

I'd rather it was a service that came to my house than being fed into some machine.
