I don't think Gruden would leave an NFL job, where he's probably paid at the least as well as at most he'll be paid at Michigan. MAYBE if the Bucs fired him, which there were rumors of before the season. But thanks to the Bucs playing in a horrible division, he'll probably make the playoffs. That way he can continue to outright REFUSE to build Tampa a team for the future, and keep rolling the dice with quick-fix, veteran "Rent-a-players". See, it's well-known that Gruden doesn't like to (and by that I mean "can't") develop young talent, therefore he keeps bringing in the Jeff Garcia's and Ike Hilliard's of the world and praying it works out (it is this year kinda, because their division is otherwise brutal). So how would he coach up college players?! ANYWAYS, I think it's funny that LSU is a consistently a top ten team, yet coaches are always rumored to be leaving. First Saban now Miles. So guys are willing to forgo being great at LSU to be mediocre in Michigan and outright suck in the NFL. Wierd. I really doubt the Gruden thing is true but, since it was out there I thought I thought I'd mention it. I really don't want him near Michigan. Michigan may not have been great in the last few years but, we still are the winningest program in college football history (D1 or whatever its called now) and a constant threat to win the Big 10 and contend for a National Title. So I hardly think we are mediocre. In a slump? Yes but, not mediocre. Add to that Miles history at UM (played and coached under Bo, was an assistant after Bo left, met his wife her and her being a former Women's basketball assistant) and I don't see why he wouldn't at least be interested in it. I apologize for that "mediocre" comment. It's just that overall stigma that the Big 10 in general has been overrated for years, due to their faster counterparts in the south and out west.

Well heres how I personally see the rest of the season playing out. Kansas loses to Mizzou this week. Drops them out. West Virginia bets UConn this week. Oklahoma beats Mizzou in the Big 12 title game. Drops them out. Arizona loses to USC. Drops them out. West Virginia beats Pitt. LSU beats Arkansas LSU beats Georgia in the SEC title game. after Kentucky beats Tennessee. National title game of LSU-WVU Sadly, that makes too much sense, and therefore it will not happen. With all the craziness this year, we could see Kansas in a National Title game. Who knows.. Although, ideally, i like your scenario. A Big East school gets in and you still get a top program.

I hope Tebow drops 50 more on them seminoles just for what that douchebag from the seminoles said. I'd like to see them try to take out Tebow. Then in the last play, I hope he goes all Moleman on Bowden.

So what do you think about Nick Sabin's comments loosely comparing 'Bama's back to back losses to Mississippi State and ULM to 9/11 and the attacks on Pearl Harbor? Is ESPN blowing this out of proportion or did Sabin just make a jackassed statement?

Is ESPN blowing this out of proportion or did Sabin just make a jackassed statement? While technically he didn't compare losing to LA-Tech to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor specifically, he should have picked his words better. I don't think that was the best thing for him to say.

Hahaha
Saban also said that USF is only having success because they take in plaers that wouldn't academically qualify for any of the other Florida schools.
I'm not saying I doubt him, but I just didn't know that football players in Florida even had to know how to read (see: Hurricanes, Miami) or even be capable of not commiting multiple crimes (ummm see once again: Hurricanes, Miami) to get into college as it was.
So Saban thinks the guys that play ball at South Florida are a worse bunch than those that play at the other Florida schools?
Crap, I now fear for my life everyday I'm on the USF campus!!!

At 1:30 PM ET on ESPN today, Delaware and Delaware St. play each other for the first time ever in the 1-AA playoffs (Yes, I'm still calling it 1-AA for the time being). This is a pretty big deal considering they're an hour drive apart and have never played each other on a football field before. You can read the article to see why it's such a big deal. I'll definitely tune in, should be extremely physical. www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=308233

I hate to say it but WVU is going to win the National Championship. LSU doesn't have the defense to beat them. Thats why they're Number 2 in my poll. That and I can't drop a team after a WIN unless they looked terrible winning

I don't believe that. Incomplete pass for LSU, and another receiver catches it and gets down to the 10.
