When I first saw this thread and looked at the schedule for the next couple hours, I was upset. I loved watching Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Arcade, Guts, etc. Good times. But then I noticed what was on at 6:30 pm: Kenan & Kel I'd give up every Nick sports-themed show as long as I could watch one episode of Kenan & Kel each day. That and Fresh Prince seem to be the only decent shows, but I'll take it. agree'd. maybe the N won't be so bad s'long as they play old Nick shows and its not 24/7 Degrassi

I'm gonna miss Nick GAS a little... but I did manage to catch the WCW episodes of Figure It Out (with Jericho) and Double Dare 2000 (with Duggan and Vito) as well as the classic Get the Picture episode with a WWF superstar pillow question... and this lovable fat kid who just DESTROYED everyone in the game... I swear, he could've sent the girl on his team to the other side and still won).
However, with my nephews visiting, having Noggin on a fulltime channel will be nice. After it ends, fights usually begin between them on what videos they want to watch or what channel to flip it to.

Please discuss. I know some people never received NickGAS on their digital systems, so losing shows like "The Best Years" and "Degrassi:The Next Generation" may be a hard hit to take. They cancelled The Best Years so they were gonna lose that anyway. blogs.usatoday.com/popcandy/2007/12/the-best-years.htmlI also wish they would bring back the Radio Free Roscoe reruns.

They needed to call the channel "NickGAS with Attitude".

I simply cannot believe they took off a channel that showed Fresh Prince, not that I watch it much, it just seems like its a ratings blockbuster every single time it's on tv Don't fret. Nick at Nite is pretty much all Fresh Prince these days. Count me in as someone who wishes The N was a showcase for old Nick shows. When it debuted as a prime-time block on Noggin, the lineup did include shows like Pete & Pete, Alex Mack, and Clarissa. This seems to be common with Nickelodeon spinoff channels: they start off promising, then turn to crap. Look at Nick GAS; a channel that at one time included classic Double Dare, What Would You Do? and Wild & Crazy Kids went out showing a total of six shows. If Vince McMahon bought Nickelodeon, I think that would guarantee us a Classic Nick channel (given WWE's understanding of the power of nostalgia).

And before you reply, no, it is not Pete Gas' brother. NickGAS went off the air last night at 6pm CT. "The N" (the teen geared Noggin usually shown at night) took its place at 12 midnight. Noggin ended a Degrassi marathon at 5am, and will show nothing but preschool-aged stuff like Oobi and Little Bill on its original spot in the channel guide 24/7. Please discuss. I know some people never received NickGAS on their digital systems, so losing shows like "The Best Years" and "Degrassi:The Next Generation" may be a hard hit to take. How can this happen to me!

I was so happy when Kenan & Kel started airing again. Now it seems like I have a better chance of catching it.

As a The N viewer for many a year back in the day (i.e like two years ago), i am both shocked and unsure about this move. The amount of possible programming that The N could air is one thing. but as one poster mentioned, that programming is only relegated to a few of those shows....and 8 solid hours of Degrassi.
I am of course a huge fan of Daria, which is what got me to The N in the first place. Then they shunned Daria to the middle of the night. And dumped all over RFR.
Me likey RFR!

Damnit Viacom release Pete and Pete season 3 on DVD already. I know it has nothing to do with this but still I'm angry.

I simply cannot believe they took off a channel that showed Fresh Prince, not that I watch it much, it just seems like its a ratings blockbuster every single time it's on tv Don't fret. Nick at Nite is pretty much all Fresh Prince these days. And Home Improvement. And George Lopez. (Nothing against George Lopez, but he's replaced I Love Lucy and M*A*S*H* as the show that is guaranteed to be somewhere on your cable system anytime, 24/7. I can name 5 channels I can watch the show on at any given time; and they're basic channels.) I like the move, but I like variety. I hope this leads to something good. (And I'm all for bringing back Daria and O-Grady.)

if this means they're bringing back reruns of RFR and My So Called Life then I'll be very happy...and if they ever get around to showing some O'Grady I'll be happier still I saw late night listings for RFR yesterday. I saw listings for My So Called Life in ABC's online player. I've watched chunks of the N during the past few days and your fears have came true. I don't know how their regular line up is going to shape up, but it seems like they are using their other shows to break up the Ultimate Degrassi marathon. Daria is what got me into the N also. Why haven't they put out a Daria DVD?
