It's funny...the only time I notice a post count is when someone is trolling and I see how long that person has escaped mod attention..other than that not much at all.
Some people seem to care...not that there is anything wrong with that; but I'm perfectly happy having the low number I have now instead of counting the 8,000 or so (best guessstimate) post I've actually made.
How important is your to you?
Other peoples?
Would you take your number to zero on purpose like I have?
Am I silly for doing so?

This creates a logical pardox. If I reply then my post count goes up which may make it seem that I care more about my post count than I might. I

Mine could be set to zero and I wouldn't care one bit. Things like that really don't matter to anyone I don't think.

What would make you care less? It's just a meaningless number. I don't hold anyone with 10000+ posts in a higher regard than I do someone with 15. |

I'm not overly concerned with it. Nor am I overly concerned with the fact that everyone who posts in this thread will probably have our post counts reset to zero!

But I do think its nifty just to see how many posts I've personally made. So as a personal reminder, yes, I think its cool, but I don't try and make it seem like I'm cool or anything. |
