www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uPxfKtY80c Good old Joe Bob Briggs introduces the movie and REALLY hypes it to the moon, as apparently this was Evil Dead's first uncut showing on cable. Interesting observations, Sam Raimi's last big movie at this time was Darkman and Bruce Campbell had plans for Man With the Screaming Brain that wound up getting held over for 10 more years (I liked that one but that's cause I don't take it seriously like a lot of Campbell's minions, of which I am one ).

God I miss Monster Vision so much. As do I, friend. As do I. Joe Bob definitely got me through my high school years. I could be having the worst week ever in school but I'd always look forward to staying up Saturday Night and getting treated to a crappy horror movie and Joe Bob's witty and informative commentary.

You are so awesome, Kelly. And yeah, I want to see the return of Monster Vision proper. And for that matter, USA's UP...All Night!

That was cool, but now I feel stupid because I didn't get that anorexic nymphomaniac joke at the end.

I don't know which is better, Evil Dead or Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Guess it would have to be Evil Dead, since it never gets old, unlike the latter. I didn't watch much Joe bob Briggs at that time, but if I did, would have totally ripped-off his style. He's like a cool Johnny Cash.

That was cool, but now I feel stupid because I didn't get that anorexic nymphomaniac joke at the end. It is a lame joke, lol. But I forgive JB for that one. As for Rhonda Shear, I was a big fan of USA UP(~!) All Night as well. Though Gilbert Gottfried was my favorite cause I'm a big fan of shrill squinty Jewish comedians. And I like your Johnny Cash analogy, Dino
