"Alpha Kappa Mu" Hmmm...wonder if "Alpha" has anything to do with the supposed "Alpha Omega" RPG everyone keeps trying to tie all of this to instead of Cloverfield. Also, "Mu" Mu was a legendary continent much like Atlantis that sank. It also showed up in Lovecraft stories. The people living on Mu in his stories worshipped the three sons of Cthulhu. I bow to you, sir.

Anyone Remember the Cthulhu Circus from a few years ago? I believe the guy who came up with them was sued by the estate of Bil Keene to stop making them, but a few are still out there. They're alright, but the best one that I've been trying to find for a while is one with the mother havign tentacles shooting out of her face, wrapping around her son's head, with him exclaiming, "MY GOD! IT'S FULL OF STARS!" Unsettlingly funny.

I just had a realization that if they put a pair of wings on Dr. Zoidberg, he'd be a shoe-in for Cthulhu. Before: After: Ah....you get the idea.

Not talking about the movie it self, or any of these internet clues. But remember Snakes on a Plane had all sorts of Internet hype, yet it still tanked at the box office. I could really see the same thing happening here. It's coming out in the middle of January which is a graveyard for movies. Grindhouse had hype to, but bombed due to people not getting the whole Grindhouse idea. Weither the movie ends up being decent or not, most people probably won't get this movie. Internet hype won't make a movie a big hit, and also one with a idea most people wont understand. There's a difference. Snakes on a Plane was supposed to be taken seriously but people saw the trailer and realized it was stupid and turned it into a joke. Some where along the way everyone jumped on the bandwagon of "this is supposed to be a joke" when it really wasn't. This trailer on the other hand seems to be quite serious.

I had a weird thought last night. I'm probably the only one who even remembers this but there was some sort of made for TV movie or mini series a few years ago, I wanna say it was on ABC but I could be wrong. Anyways it was hyped up immensely because no one knew what the monster was gonna be and it wound up being some sort of giant squid. The thing flooped terribly. I can't even remember the title of it, but this whole thing made me think of it. Not saying that this is gonna flop but it's starting off quite similar.

This marketing campaign is awesome.
There hasn't been this much internet buzz about a movie since The Blair Witch Project.
I cant wait to see it

Just over a week and we will finally find out if the Ethan Haas stuff is at all connected. My Haas theory is that it is connected, Ethan is actually Charlie operating under a fake name and the monster is a giant Jackie Gayda running through NY botching moves on buildings.

I thought that Abrahams had said that its not connected.

Even funnier was the fact that certain commercials for the snakes on a plane made it look like the hype surrounding it had to do with how great the movie was gonna be, instead of the fact that it had a f***ing rediculous title.

He did but please to explain why if the Ethan Haas stuff is for a rpg Paramount films pulled all the Ethan Haas video's and refrences to them off Youtube at the same time they removed the Cloverfield trailer.
