Prof. X. Thanks to Grimm for knocking out Iron Man for me, but I'm done with him.

Black Adam. Not really into Marvel, but he somehow managed to produce one of the most compelling villians/anti-heroes in history. Also, he sort of became Black Adam in the Kingdom Come miniseries, at least personality wise. Kingdom Come is one of the most breathtaking things I've ever read. That comic is so well written - and the art is astonishing - that it had a profound effect on my mood the day I read it. I was miserable for like, three days after reading that.

Well my point was that it was so powerfully written and drawn/inked that it had that kind of an emotional effect.

Also, he sort of became Black Adam in the Kingdom Come miniseries, at least personality wise. not really, Marvel was just uber-confused as to what his role in the world should be, and it caused him to do some questionable things. it's not like he ripped a man in half on national television just to make a point. Black Adam, OTOH, knows damn well what his role is

Thing. Even though it's too late.
And I notice that, as expected, the ones I like (also known as the ones you should all vote for), don't tend to come out victorious is these tournaments...

Professor X makes Ben Grimm think he's a paper weight ------------------------------- Up next ... Batman - DC: Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a wealthy industrialist, playboy, and philanthropist. Witnessing the murder of his parents as a child leads him to train himself to physical and intellectual perfection and don a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Batman operates in Gotham City, assisted by various supporting characters including his sidekick Robin and his butler Alfred Pennyworth, and fights an assortment of villains influenced by the characters' roots in film and pulp magazines. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superpowers; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, and intimidation in his war on crime. (Defeated John Constantine and The Martian Manhunter) vs Hellboy - Dark Horse comics: As a demon named Anung Un Rama, Hellboy was brought to Earth as an infant by Nazi occultists. He was rescued by Allied forces and raised by the United States' Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD). Hellboy grew up to be a large red-skinned demon with a tail, horns (which he files off, leaving behind his signature stumps), and a big stone right hand. In the introduction to Odd Jobs he is described as smelling of dry roasted peanuts. Although a bit gruff, he shows none of the malevolence thought to be intrinsic to demons, and works with other strange creatures in the BPRD. Hellboy has been dubbed as the "World's Greatest Paranormal Investigator". (Defeated Prodigy and Darkseid) Batman for me has the vote, so many moments. (Although Hellboy is a good solid character.)
