It's premiering right now on Cartoon Network, anyone else watching? The opening was kinda cool, as it was pretty much a flash back to the 80's show...than it went into the new look and rushed downhill pretty quick. But before saying anything too negative, will watch a bit of it first.
Oh, I don't think Optimus has reached robotic puberty yet.

Well I just watched 5 minutes of it and well I hate it.
It's got that Teen Titans / Ben 10 wannabe anime animation style that I hate.
Also it looks like its following Michael Bay's version of Transformers so that's another strike against it I don't think I can finish watching it.

I didn't know too much about it before, as trying to not let anything 'ruin' it, so when Blackarachnia showed up, that was a nice surprise.
The art style is horrible, 90% of the voice over thus far aren't very good...don't think I'll be tuning in come Jan 5th when it becomes a regular thing. But for now, nothing else is on, and I'm too lazy to switch to anything else, so will continue to watch.

I watched a few minutes of it, and I gotta say, as someone who was against it from the beginning...it's not that bad. The artwork style takes a little getting used to, and I'm still pissed they look too organic, but it's not bad. I've seen far, far worse (Transformers: Robots In Disguise immediately springs to mind.)

I caught a little bit of this as well. I'm probably gonna stay away from this one. I wondered why they took all of the TF's off of the shelves a Wal-Mart. I guess they have to make way more more peg warmers. By the way.... ^^^This is wonderful.

I just watched it. Didn't even know this series was coming out, just flipping channels and saw it.
Pure garbage.
Why can they not just give an updated format of the REAL Transformers. Something that was please both old school fans AND modern kids?

It premiered last night here in Canada. Me and my girlfriend watched it and we both enjoyed it. It's not perfect, but we're both gonna give it a chance. Plus Tom Kenny was boss as Starscream, we both thought.

I watched it on Youtube on Monday, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I thought that the nods to the G1 continuity were cool (the old cartoon footage was used as "history logs", the Matrix-esque shape of the Allspark, Prime turning grey after he dies, etc)
It was very strange seeing Ratchet play the role reserved for Ironhide or Kup (old gruff 'bot), though.

I saw this on my digital guide and turned it on for 5 seconds at most. I saw that they completely f***ed with the animation style (and voices) and immediately changed the channel.

Easily the best Transformers series since Beast Wars for me so far. Then again, I think Beast Wars is the best Transformers show anyway. The animation was fine for me. I really enjoy the voice cast, especially Corey Burton's Megatron and Ratchet and Tom Kenny's Starscream, as well as the characterizations. Starscream was awesome at the end of the episode. The humans didn't irritate me in the slightest, which greatly impressed me. Even more impressive, Cree Summer voicing Blackarachnia didn't bug me at all. It's going to be fun to see the new versions of the Dinobots coming up, along with Corey Burton, Susan Blu, and John Moschitta apparently reprising their roles of Shockwave, Arcee, and Blurr. It borrows from basically all the TF mythos. There's some G1 mixed with some Beast Wars mixed with some of the movie, along with some original concepts. I like it when they change things like this. I can't stand seeing the same thing over and over again.

I thought it was enjoyable enough, once you get past the animation and that "sorry" or whatever her name is girl. I hope we see some combiners on this show though, and soon.

Eh... it's not the greatest thing I've ever seen, but it still catches my interest. I think I'll give it a while before I condemn it or praise it, though.

I liked it. I tend to enjoy these more elaborate re-imaging of series with a strong staff behind it. That and I loved Teen Titans, so it works both ways. Only thing I can complain about is the pacing of the show, is that it feels too ADD to me, like, I was going threw Sensory overload about half way threw this special, by the last 30 minutes where they are fighting starscream, I wanted to turn it off or find something else. Something i'd Definitively watch on 30 minute bites then going on a chuck like I did. I guess it didn't help I had a rough night the night before, so I didn't get that much sleep, I saw AVPR witch I didn't like earlier that day and i was laying on a Air matress that didn't support my backside, so I was wrather unconformable all throughout the viewing experience.

The only Transformers show I EVER was interested in was Beast Wars. The rest of them, including the original, were pretty boring to me.

The dvd sets of the G-1 series aren't completely bad, there's some rad extras on those bad boys. And if you're lucky, you might get a reprint animation cel thingy. About half of the episodes ae still worth watching all these years later.
