Someone posted this website www.wowdetox.com/ on DiGG and I have been laughing for a good 20 minutes at some of the replies on this site...Seriously have any of you fellow crappers witnessed a persons downfall this blatant before due to WoW?

Who gives a damn how much time you play a game. I spend a good amount of time on it, but oh well. I'm happy so it doesn't matter how much I play, as long as I enjoy it.

They quit talking to their friends, they stop going to work/school. It gets kinda sad.

lol I played it for about 4 months and had difficulty in staying interested in the game. Managed about 8 months of Lotro. Given up on MMO games now. Their just boring.

I play WoW, but in moderation. Maybe a few hours a night instead of watching television.

Thank you God! Thank you for my tendency of getting bored by whatever I'm watching/playing/doing in a matter of hours.

I play MMO's instead of watching TV as well.
Just like anything in life, it's no big deal as long as you don't let it take over.
Plus, that wowdetox is nothing in all seriousness, some of you need to see a real alcoholic go through detox if you think this is bad.

What I've noticed, is that most of the signs that you may be addicted literally apply to anybody who plays it at all. They might as well be compressed to, "If you do, or ever have played this game, you're addicted."
Really, like everything, it's about moderation. However, I like how clueless a lot of people are... I saw a talk show about WoW addiction, and at the end they dude broke his WoW install disks. The crowd lets out this huge roar of approval... unfortunately, by then the program is on the computer, rendering the install disks useless. Delete the program? Go ahead and download it directly from the site.
I guess anyone can have addictions to anything else.... but at a certain point, people have to stop blaming the game, look in the mirror and say, "I'm a f***ing loser who did this to myself."

It's funny that the guy broke his install discs for WOW. Gee, it's not like they sell the game everywhere for 19 bucks.

If it isn't WoW, it'd just be booze or the like. If anything, WoW's probably cheaper. Still, yeah, "poopsockers" are depressing.
