Wal Mart just has the look and feel inbred redneck trailer park mentally challenged ville. Most of the ones where I live are less on the inbred redneck side (except for the cashiers), and more on the Thugged-out side.... Every Wal-Mart (and K-Mart for that matter) in my area is chock-full of Thugs.

If I am looking for new CDs or DVD then Target since I can get them cheap (CDs for $10 and DVDs for $15) and unedited. Anything else, Wal Mart since its a little closer.

After watching that documentary on Wal-Mart and how they treat their employees and how they treat the workers outside the US. Not to mention how they run "mom and pop" shops out of business and the lies and unethical practices they partake in. I say I will still shop at Wal-Mart. Who cares about the employees? They are mostly ex-cons and trash who are lucky to have a job. And f*** the foreign workers. If they are stupid enough to work for a job that pays them 13 cents a day they too desearve to work that job. And I couldn't care less about the "mom and pop" stores. They are too damn expensive anyway. Maybe if they would have decent prices they would still be around.

Wegman's. Oh, well, here's the thing. Target is a much better place to shop. But Target has the selection of a Drug Store. Wal*Mart has more stuff in it, and is cheaper. So basically, they are not the same type of store to me. If I am looking for toothpaste and other staples. Target. If I am looking for tools, or video games, or plastic boxes, or plants, or cheap canned food, Wal*Mart. I mean, shopping at either deeply offends the United Food and Commerical Workers, so both get a thumbs up. Im from Buffalo originally and there is nothing like wegman's damn i miss that place, I dont care if everything is expensive

I tend to shop Wal-Mart a lot more now, probably due to the fact that my girlfriend works there. The one she works at is huge, is 24 hours, and is kept in great condition at all times. Even during the rush of the holidays the store didn't look trashed. That impressed me.
As far as the UFCW comment from earlier, I work for a UFCW grocery store and Wal-Mart is hated while I haven't heard Target get too much hate. Personally, while pay is good, there are times where I have no choice but to shop Wal-Mart. I'm not a rich store manager so I have to make due. If UFCW don't like it, tough. I guarantee that the majority of its members were shopping Wal-Mart during the strike 3 years ago.

Im from Buffalo originally and there is nothing like wegman's damn i miss that place, I dont care if everything is expensive Indeed. I lived in Erie and it was the greatest. Although the prices have gone down ever since the Rodcheaster Wal*Mart Supercenter opened. I hear they opened some really high end stores in the Middle States. RE: Mr. Bennet The Union v. Wal*Mart case has one primary issue. Wal*Mart wants in on Groceries. Supermarkets can't meet UFCW's demands and compete with Wal*Mart. So, the unions are taking on Wal*mart. Target and Wal*mart are alike in every other way, supply chains, labor practices, you name it, with the exception of marketing. It just so happens that Wal*Mart wants to become the national grocher chain. There are other issues, don't get me wrong. Wal*mart is the second largest employer in the country, if Unions can't tame it, they are irrelevant. Wal*Mart is the market leader, you take on the market leader and the dominos fall. Wal*Mart does have real, if likely exaggerated supply and labor problems. But the primary purpose is that ensuring that Union Shops aren't outcompeted.

Target.
The Wal-Mart by me isn't clean, it's disorganized and on the weekends, it's creepy.
By my Mom though, hers is beautiful.
