a bit off topic, but just consider this, if you will:
if matter and energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed into different forms of matter and energy, is it really impossible (albeit improbable) that the matter and energy of a dead human being can, on occasion, be transformed into something we percieve as a 'ghost'?

If I could be so bold to correct you... you didn't really say anything in the reply to the original poster. All you did was post a link to a youtube video. That's not stating a point, or giving your opinion, or using facts to back up anything... That's just posting a youtube link. Not every discussion has to be an arguement, you know. and if i may be so bold as to explain to you why you're simply wrong. there was a question asked in the OP. And the question was "why is the show still on the air"... And the OP used the "fact" that they "never find anything" to back up his question. So with my posting of the youtube link in which they do "find something" that isnt "dust" i completely and fully answered his question. the show is on the air because they, on occasion, DO find something interesting. they don't sit there every episode and say "that could be something or it could be dust"... So in my post i simply posted a youtube link that DID answer his question. it's as simple as saying "yes" or "no" to a "yes or no" question. he asked a question... i answered it. thread over. but good try though, mr meat. The question was... "Why Is This Show Still On The Air?" Correct? You at least agree with that segment. Now, answering with a simple "Yes" or "No" to that question does not make a bit of sense. And for you to say that I am wrong because I asked you to, I don't know, present a reasoning WHY the show is still on the air... instead of just posting gibberish and your beliefs in the paranormal... that is pretty wrong in itself. I'm not here in this thread to argue with you over your condescending nature; I am just pointing out that what was asked, and what was answered are two different things. Why the hell must everything be so negative? If you like Ghost Hunters, then you like it. If you don't, you don't. Why must people have their rally flag waving and their pom poms waving, acting like what they say is the end all, be all, word in any discussion?

Why must people have their rally flag waving and their pom poms waving, acting like what they say is the end all, be all, word in any discussion? in all fairness, maybe the way i presented my answer was out of line. yes. i'll accept that that could be the case. however... the OP itself was condescending in nature. he presented a "fact" that was totally untrue in order to validify his question. so i matched the tone of the OP in my response... maybe it was out of line to do so. but i did it. if you dont like the show, you dont have to. i could care less... but you dont have to attack it or its success in the process. thats needless... and ultimately... he asked a question. and with my youtube posting i answered taht question. it's because of moments like that that the show is still on the air. plain and simple

"- In Alcatraz, they caught a pair of legs walking towards a camera. They tried to recreate it, and no one on their crew could recreate the walk"
That was at Eastern State Pen, not Alcatraz btw ;D

In terms of responibility in their investigations, the crew of Ghost Hunters are actually the best around. So many of these hacks in the paranormal investigation world are so fast to jump and say somethings a ghost that it's sad. The TAPS crew spend more time saying things are bogus than they do saying something is legit haunted. And they rarely approach things from a spiritual, faith etc based but a more scientific approach.
And to ask why people watch it or why it's on the air is just the same as asking why people watch wrestling, reality shows, game shows etc. They find it entertaining. If you don't get it or like it, cool. The people watching one show could ask you why you watch something and say they find it stupid. Neither one of you will be right.
