Hey everyone, I've got a quick question for my fellow crappers... one of my earbud headphones fell into some water. It was only for a second, but now the formerly wet phone is a little quieter that the other. Is there anyway for me to dry the phones or am I kinda screwed with these headphones?

Take a hair dryer to it?
Really, how much do earbud headphones cost anyway?

This has happened to me with an expensive pair and they were pretty much f***ed.
Luckily they had a warranty so I got them replaced without much hassle.
Hope that can be helpful.

I hate earbud headphones, they don't stay in my ears! Especially if I decide to move.
They should all be destroyed and replaced with proper clip on ones or old school headphones.

As long as you don't have a flat screen, leave your TV on overnight and rest them on the back. The heat should dry it out completely and restore the lost sound.

if u feel/need new earbuds, get Skull Candy Smokin` Buds. they were like 40$...the funny thing is, the week before i got em i got a 70$ pair of DJ style headphones and brought em back in exchange for the buds. was and awesome exchange...these things rattle my brain, have a little volume control thing on em...and i saved 30$

Earbuds lead to way more hearing lose however. I prefer street style, like Sony's. THe kind that go around the back of your head. But whatever floats your boat.
On topic. I hope you let them dry for a few days before you used them. If not the damage is going to be permanent. If you used them before they dried you fried something as water and electricity don't mix. If you let most electronics dry though, they are ok. Lots of arcade machines and such are cleaned just by taking a hose to them. and many a memory card goes through a washing machine and work fine.
