Thriller survives a scare and moves on to Round 4. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Battle of the "&" bands! Hall and Oates - Out Of Touch"Out of Touch" is a 1984 song from Daryl Hall and John Oates. This lead single from their 1984 album Big Bam Boom was their final number one, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in December 1984. The song was used in the soundtrack of the popular but controversial video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It is featured on the fictional in-game radio station Flash FM. "Out of Touch" was covered by Uniting Nations in 2004 and was featured on the compilation CDs Summer Hits 2005, Floorfillers Club Classics and Floorfillers 3 amongst others. Uniting Nations' version peaked at #7 on the UK Singles Chart and remained in the Top 75 for twenty-one weeks. Vs. Huey Lewis & The News - Back In Time

Out Of Touch. The last really great Hall & Oates single trumps a mediocre HL&TN song.

Looks like Back In Time came through before the Hall and Oates votes came in.
I got to go home right now and lock up the store, I'll be on in a while to continue with more matches.

Everyone refer to Chilly's post for my recap. It's just to good not to use. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Next match! Go! Kool & The Gang - Celebration"Celebration" is a song released in 1980 by Kool & the Gang from their album Celebrate!. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on February 7, 1981 and held that position until February 20, 1981. The song dominated the radio for nearly the entire year, and is still heard today at weddings and parties. It is also a popular anthem for sporting events; for example, it was prominently associated with the 1982 World Series victory by the St. Louis Cardinals and is played over the PA system after Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics victories. The song is also notable for having played when the remaining American hostages returned home following the 1979-1981 Iran Hostage Crisis. The song has been remade by Dragon (see Dragon (band)) - a band from New Zealand and Australia fronted by brothers Todd and Marc Hunter, Kylie Minogue (see Celebration (Kylie Minogue song)), and by Jump 5 for the Kim Possible soundtrack. The song was one of the big musical numbers in the film Muppets from Space, where it was sung by Gonzo's family. Vs. Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart"Total Eclipse of the Heart" is a power ballad written and produced by Jim Steinman. It was originally performed by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler in 1983. It has been covered several times, and rewritten (with Michael Kunze) for the musical Tanz der Vampire as "Totale Finsternis".

Good to see you be able to vote Joker.
By the way, what time is it there? So I can have an idea of the difference.
3-1, Kool and the Gang.
