I've seen this on some people's screen names and in their posts and I wanted to ask this.
If you're an Anti-Smark, aren't you basically saying you're a mark since it's the opposite?

Not really...if I were to say I'm anti-smark, it would mean that I'm against smarks, not that I'm a mark myself. You can be smart to the buisness and not a smark.

Basically by definition smark means smart mark, so I always thought that a smark was someone who not only watched the shows at face value, but also followed the behind-the-scenes news and happenings.
Apparently somewhere along the line, the term smark became even more specifically applied not only to "smart" fans, but in particular the ones who complain and all that. Personally I don't agree with that, since I think that we are all smarks. Technically a true "mark" fan would not even be familiar with the term smark. To me it seems like if you know what a smark is, then most likely you are one.
