I took a chance and bought a tape of XPW thinking, wow this could be the next ECW.
10 minutes into the tape I took it out and was shaking my head

WSX minus entertainment and explosions. and passable wrestling... Hey now, they had those Revolution Pro showcase matches at some point, featuring the likes of Super Dragon (in pre-badass mode), TARO and Excalibur. Booking those matches was then stopped because XPW apparently thought the RevPro guys made the XPW talent look bad. Oh well, at least XPW indirectly gave us the fan-hating, badass Super Dragon we all know and love (as the XPW fans would often crap on the matches and disrespect the workers). At least that's what I read, not sure if it's true though.

yep i bought a dvd as it was only £4........now i see why. and why did i buy it in the 1st place i was really drunk and i didnt want to shell out £20-£30 on a wwe dvd. i know it was only 4 bucks but i feel robbed. it was hardcore homecoming 2 my fave part was when a pregnant dawn marie came down to the ring and the ring announcer didn't even open the ropes for her lol then she did a horrible shoot complaining why the WWE fired her cos she wanted to start a family NEWS FLASH Dawn pregnancy don't sell hot slender chicks in bikinis. i think these dvds need to be inducted into the wrestlecrap hall of fame.

WSX minus entertainment and explosions. I guess you didn't want the video that was just posted. Seemed EXACTLY like WSX to me.

I'm not sure if I understood this post correctly, but I'd like to mention that Hardcore Homecoming didn't have anything to do with XPW as XPW went under years before those shows took place.

That wasn't XPW that was a failed Shane Douglas promotion to try and rebirth ECW

What the hell was XPW? This should answer your question. The video is less than 2 minutes and tells you all you need to know. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB8cSPfrNiUYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kriss Kloss' commentary in slow motion is HILARIOUS. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I was a bit disappointed to notice that Kris Kloss no longer did the "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" when commentating for WSX, at least in the few episodes that I watched.

If you want to see has-been and never-was rasslers led to the ring by gals that have such cinematic masterpieces as "Trailer tramps take it in the pooper part 67" om their resume's, with arguably the worst announce team EVER and nonsensical booking, then XPW is the show for you. Myself, I felt contaminated after only watching a few minutes. IMO, there was nothing redeemable about that outfit.

I know that I'm in the minority here, but I loved pre-"Hostile Takeover" XPW. Yes, it was (if I may quote Larry Rivera here) "violent crap," but it was fun violent crap.

That's not fair.... compared to the stuff in volumes 81-97, volume 67 WAS a cinematic masterpiece.

Hardcore Homecoming was in no way related to XPW (except that the first Hardcore Homecoming had a second disc featuring some XPW matches). Some of the Hardcore Homecoming matches were pretty good (Jerry Lynn vs. Justin Credible, for example).
