I just saw some footage of the Referee Eye Camera in NWA/WCW back in the day.
How long did this last? The footage was tough to be able to see and they always showed the worst clips of the match with the Ref Camera.
I guess it was kind of an innovative idea, but it just didn't look like it worked at all.

I'm unsure, but I seen what it did with the Wrestlecrap staple "Chamber of Horrors Match" from WCW Halloween Havoc back in '91. That was some horrid, horrid stuff.

I love the fact that the referee was wearing a hockey helmet with the cam on top of it.He just plain looked retarded along with the fact that it gave us lousy shots.

Oh yeah I remember they had it in the "Chamber of Horrors" match. Which I get the idea of it there because all of the other cameras are obstructed because of the cage.
But they were using the thing in regular matches

I remember it being referred to by Jim Ross at Havoc as the "refer-eye" camera.
I found that oddly amusing, but I'm glad they didn't stick to it.
