And here I was thinking this would be about the straight to DVD release of the "Day of the Dead" remake, the movie which IGN recently gave a 0/10 (But they still somehow rate the DVD a 5/10.....not sure how that works....) with zombies that aren't actually dead and who have Spiderman's abilities...apparently. And a vegetarian zombie named Bud that refuses to eat people.

How the heck can you survive as a vegan zombie anyway? You're supposed to eat BRAINS!

Once they start making remakes of remakes, then we worry. Actually I'd be surprised if that hasn't already happened. Yeah, it has. They are going to remake The Thing next year... It had already happpened. I Am Legend, Night of the Living Dead plus I'm sure there are others.

As far as the remakes of remakes: How many times have they remade "Dangerous Liaisons"? (You have your French version, your American version, Cruel Intentions 1 & 2, etc.)
Would you prefer a "Welcome Back, Kotter" movie with Cedric the Entertainer as "Mr. Kot-tair"?
At least they're remaking something good. I don't plan on watching it, but everything has an audience. My wife won't watch "older" movies. This is geared towards people like her.

And will THIS stop the re-make machine? Of course not. Prepare to weep much more, my friends. Why? Because the entertainment industry will do this, possibly send it to DVD, claim it was a success and continue to pump out remakes of classic films with great justification in their actions.
If known actually went to see these abominations, they'd have to stop making them. But there are people out there that DO go to see crap of this nature and as long as they do, this trend will continue.
And only get worse.

Even 0/10 is too good, it should have been a negative number of some kind. -10/10 ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Making a a movie that somehow worse then House of the Dead 2 takes some talent

I'm not the biggest Bill & Ted mark but the idea behind this remake is ridiculous.
I can't support this at all.

I read about this the other day.
I am as depressed now as I was then.
Don't get me wrong ... Bill & Ted are The Great Ones. Those two movies are HILARIOUS. But is Hollywood SO berefit of even remake ideas that they're reaching this far down the ladder? What next, a Krush Groove remake? Pump Up The Volume? Time Chasers?
Jed f'n Shaffer ~Coming soon: a remake of a movie that hasn't been made before!

I'm not too fussed, really. As Deadpool says, it's not like the originals are being eroded out and also, it's not like it's a sacred film that can't be remade right.
Just like this upcoming 'Short Circuit' remake. It's a robot that goes nice and helps people. It's not like it's a hard thing to remake or do.
Now, if you're talking about Tyler Perry remaking Driving Mrs Daisy or Tim Story remaking Dog Day Afternoon (one of my favourite movies of all time, may I add), I'll be there with everyone else laying the smackdown on Hollywood's candy ass.

I LOVE the Bill & Ted movies. That said, they are far from untouchable movie classics. They are good niche-comedies with a cult following at best. This doesn't bother me in the least. In fact no remake does, because guess what? Your original favorites aren't disapearing. Your favorite movies will still be the same rather they make a remake or not. Like Stephan A. said, if anything this can get new fans to seek out and watch the old ones. That's kind of like saying, "I don't mind my girlfriend is a prostitute because when we have sex, she never charges me"

Like Stephan A. said, if anything this can get new fans to seek out and watch the old ones. That's kind of like saying, "I don't mind my girlfriend is a prostitute because when we have sex, she never charges me" Not even close. I know you're kidding, but I do truley find the complaining about remakes to be redundant. If one doesn't like them, one doesn't have to go watch them. If one wishes to watch the old ones instead, the old ones are still there for one to watch. In fact sometimes the old ones become easier to watch because they get new releases along side the new version. Then when you take into account that movies like this aren't exactly "Citizen Kane" or "Casablanca" it matters to me even less. I'm not too fussed, really. As Deadpool says, it's not like the originals are being eroded out and also, it's not like it's a sacred film that can't be remade right. Just like this upcoming 'Short Circuit' remake. This just in: 'Short Circuit's' Johnny 5 still alive Dimension acquires rights to remake 1986 film
Dimension Films is rewiring "Short Circuit," acquiring rights to remake the 1986 film. The original introduced Number 5, a robot built by the military to be a highly sophisticated weapon. It developed a conscience and a personality after being hit by lightning, and then needed the help of humans after it was targeted for destruction by its makers, once it became a peacenik.
S.S. Wilson and Brent Maddock, who created the characters and wrote both "Short Circuit" films, have been hired to write the remake. David Foster and Ryan E. Heppe will produce with John Hyde.
Deal was made by Dimension co-chairman Bob Weinstein, who called "Short Circuit" a worthy addition to its family film slate.
Foster, who produced the original with his partner Lawrence Turman and son Gary Foster, said the film will be similar in theme to the original, but it will factor in advances in technology. Credit: Michael Fleming
