So we all know about YouTube comments and the sheer tragedy they can bring to your day.
Now I noticed that the default comment setting is "Average (negative 5 or better)". However, whenever I set it to "Excellent (10+ or better)", the comments are automatically hidden, and I can choose whether or not I want to read each one.
What I'm asking, is, does this only work under certain conditions, or is it something that works for everyone?

Works for everyone. It's actually something that allows you to only see the comments that got points over a certain score. I was very happy when I discovered this.
