I miss the dead staying dead. DC is actually doing this with Conner Kent. It's been almost 3 years and they still haven't brought him back to life. Of course it will in all likelihood change in Final Crisis. They'll probably bring him back to fight Superman-Prime.

Marvel used to make a joke: "itll happen when bucky comes back" to basically say something would never happen in their comics, but look whats happened there. The character who was meant to represent never coming back, came back

3 to 5 issue arcs. I'm sick of story arcs lasting a year (or longer). Once in a while for a special occasion it's cool, but it feels like the Batman title has been having year long arcs since No Man's Land in 1999/2000. I agree with this. I feel books should have mini-arcs, and every now and then single issue stories, with a large long lasting arc thrown in for special occasions.

The reason they killed Connor was because the Siegel family has been fighting DC over the rights to Superboy, Superman, and anything else Jerry did and sold the rights to many, many decades ago.

Max Lord, Ted Kord, Elongated Man... the Super Buddies in general.
Plastic Man being an integral part of the JLA.
Major Disaster.

The reason they killed Connor was because the Siegel family has been fighting DC over the rights to Superboy, Superman, and anything else Jerry did and sold the rights to many, many decades ago. In fairness, DC deserved a lil bit of that, for paying $150 to Siegel and Shuster for the rights and giving them NO credit whatosever for those same decades until Neal Adams and some other rabble roused enough to get them to change. Granted I don't have much sympathy for the heirs themselves, but when you let one guy who created the character that pretty well created the genre and earn you billions have to work as a clerk for less than ten grand a year, while the other goes nearly blind and has to live on a cot at his brother's house without so much as a "Hey, thanks" for several decades; and only change that when you're shamed into it, it's hard to feel sympathy for DC there. I miss Done in Ones. I.e. One issue stories every so often. Those were fun. As has been said, ONE cosmic/universe shattering story every few years is plenty, one every six months is wearisome. Surprises. There's lots of things really, but there are alot of improvements over the years in fairness as well.

Yeah. Like - artwork. Honestly, with some notable exceptions, I can't stand the artwork of most stuff before and often during the later 1990s.

I miss how comics used to cost less than 5 dollars. Yeah, that was cool.

Yeah. Like - artwork. Honestly, with some notable exceptions, I can't stand the artwork of most stuff before and often during the later 1990s. I disagree. I'm gonna get a LOT of heat for this, but I actually really like the post-90's art a lot more. Jim Lee is probably my favorite artist, and most of my other favorites are also guys who've came around in the last 10-20 years. but don't worry, fellow crappers, I've ALWAYS hated Rob Liefeld, even when his work was popular.

Crappy comics based on licensed characters. Gives me something to laugh at other than the piss-poor art of Rob Liefeld.
