Hey dude,
We know that you weren't too crazy about the Shark gimmick, but were there any others presented to you that you absolutely refused to do?

No, there were no other gimmicks I refused. Shark was my least favorite, Golga was second least favorite but eventually was fun once we turned babyface. 'Quake

I don't think this would qualify as a gimmick deal or whatnot, but when WCW had half your head shaved and half your beard shaved off...did that kinda raise some reservations? Like looking silly running around with half a head of long hair and whatnot for...I think it was a week or so? No offense.
Speaking of which, you look like your "old" self these days or otherwise?

At that point Bischoff and I didn't see eye to eye. I offered my hair basically to get me involved in an angle and then got crapped on by him. That will be in my book if I ever get it written. My head is shaved right now, and am trying to grow my beard back. I'll post a pic one of these days soon. 'Quake

Bischoff treated wrestlers poorly...no way. Kidding I've heard some stories. You know what is sad. If Quake would have joined the WWE just a couple of years later then he would have been treated like Gold by Bischoff. I'd be willing to bet if John's contract with WWE expired around the time Bischoff was raiding WWE left and right (Nash/Hall) then they would have made you a very wealthy man John. Sometimes its all about timing. Correct me if I am wrong, but you were already in WCW when Bischoff got hold of Turner's checkbook?
Well it seems back then, wrestlers had more value to Bischoff if they were in the WWF because not only was Bischoff signing a talent, but he was taking away talent from the competition. I imagine that it must have been nice to have been a free agent around the beginning of the NWO period.
