Hey Quake,
As one of the 9 listeners of the latest Wrestlecrap Radio Show, I'd just like to say how thankful I am that you took the time to share your candid thoughts and stories with us -- your fans.
In times like this, I imagine that the best way I can help is by telling you about how you've affected my life. I have been a wrestling fan since when I was 6 years old. I still remember the first time I picked up a Superstars magazine and saw the page dedicated to you and Typhoon -- I could not believe how much you two weighed! You were indeed larger than life, and I remember how much my imagination just raced thinking about how powerful you and Typhoon must have been.
I still recall very well that time you beat Yokozuna in the sumo match. I was literally jumping for joy on my bed. Yokozuna reminded me of the big bully that ruled the schoolyard. And you were the quiet hero that finally had enough and took the bully down. I must have been no more than 10 years old at the time, and 10 years later, I still carry that match with me. That's how much you've meant to me.
I am sorry to hear about your current health condition. I know, though, that will be able to pull through and crush this cancer just like the way you beat Yokozuna in that sumo fight. Nobody and nothing messes with the mighty Earthquake!
God bless! Mike

My Quake Appreciation is a vague memory: Sadly, I don't even remember what PPV this was, but Quake squashed Hogan with the Earthquake splash and then got hit by some other guy. It broke up the pin. The guy I was watching with said, "Hey, Hogan's shoulders are still down!" The moment made me happy because I wanted Quake to win. Quake got that damned pin!

Great interview on Wrestlecrap Radio. I think it's great that you share your time with the fans. The glimpse you gave us into your life was interesting, and I for one would love to see you get a book out on your career. Quake rocks.

Yea Quake, I listened to the interview (at my job, no less), and it was quite entertaining. That was by far the best thing I've ever done on my company's dime!

I have full appreciation for the Quakester. John, you always were one of my favorite big men (actually, when I go through the list of big men I liked, there weren't a lot). Thanks for the entertainment through the years Laz

Like Blade, I must have been one of the 1%ers that loved his squashing Hogan back then. Hail 'Quake!

Good luck 'QUAKE I've missed seeing you on the tube. Know that you have lot's of people thinking about your health and well being that you don't even know, much less your family and friends.

I just heard the radio show. Fantastic insights. I know your health concerns (which I agree with RD, if you can be unbeaten in Sumo, I bet you can beat cancer!), but given a chance, I'd be all for seeing you in an analysis role in wrestling today.

Earthquake was the first wrestler to give me nightmares.
Seriously I dreaded the night terrors of Earthquake crushing me with his butt.
I thought Quake/Yoko sumo match was one of my fondest memories of wrestling.
Mr. John Tenta, I also for some reason enjoyed your bizarre run in WCW.
But ahwell.
Anybody that changes his tatoo for the sake of kayfabe always will be respected.
