there was a lot:
Bret/Lugar in 94.. not really Lugar but Bret. He was injured and still came out.
in a recent one, HBK and Taker put on a great great great great ending. It was one of those that just had you on your feet wondering who the hell was gonna win. Not only that but it wasn't gonna be some new guy (Khali, CM Punk, or Carlito) winning it but some old school guys that you thought would of been taken out by one of the new guys

What was the year that Diesel was eliminating all those guys, and was even standing alone in the ring at some points? I remember really enjoying that.

What was the year that Diesel was eliminating all those guys, and was even standing alone in the ring at some points? I remember really enjoying that. That would be 1994, kind sir. Who would have thought he would be champion in November? That would be #3 on my all-time list. Ric Flair in 92 is #2 on my list for obvious reasons. #1 is Mr. Perfect in 02. Even though Austin, Angle, and HHH were still in during the final 4, you thought just for a second that maybe he could win. Coming out after 9 years away from active ring duty in the company and being able to have the crowd involved and believing you in a match is why the guy was what he said he was.

I gotta agree with all the Mr Perfect votes. It was a huge mark out moment to hear his music and I dare say he got a pretty good reaction for a guy that hadn't wrestled a match in WWE/F for almost a decade. I also liked Martel in 91, Dibiase in 90, Bulldog in 95 and Flair in 92.

Mr. Perfect in 2002 was amazing. Gigantic pop, and he lasted a good while. However, the best part of his whole time in there was when he did the gum slap while being eliminated.
That teh awesomezz.

Kane had a long stretch where we dominated every year.
Road Dogg and Bossman in 2000 are hilarious. I haven't really watched that many, just read the recaps.

Flair in 92 for obvious reasons and Demolition in 1989. They drew #'s 1 and 2 and beat the crap outta each other until #3 entered. I didn't really like it when Demolition were numbers 1 and 2. I don't know why; I guess I just didn't like to see them fighting with each other. And, my favorite Royal Rumble performance is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in 1997. I mean, he just made it look like winning that match was the easiest thing in the world.

Demolition as 1 and 2 in the 89 rumble was cool at the time.
In the first rumble (which was just the year before...in 88), all the faces got beat on by all the heels...they didn't play up the "every man for himself" bit much.
In 1989 they got it over immediately, and they've stuck with it every since.
