I vaguely remember seeing this match as it happened back in 1997, and I just got done watching it on the RAW 15th Anniversary DVD and I must say, it is incredible. These guys work so well in the ring together, and they told such a great story throughout the match.
With Bulldog and Owen trying to be fair with each other during the first half due to their family ties and friendship all the way to the point where they were pulling out all stops to win, I really think that behind Hart/Austin, this was one of the best matches of the year.
Opinions?

Incredible match. Even Honky Tonk Man's commentary couldn't hurt the match.

Wonderful match. Makes me miss Owen that much more. BTW what happened to that title? Imagine a Santino title run.....

Wonderful match. Makes me miss Owen that much more. BTW what happened to that title? Imagine a Santino title run..... I think European Championship saw its end during that time when all the belts were being unified. They unified the European, Hardcore, and Intercontinental belts and finally Triple H unified them all with the World Heavyweight title. I don't feel like looking everything up, but I think Jeff Hardy, RVD, and Kane were all involved with the unification of the Euro, IC, and Hardcore belts, though my memory is a little fuzzy on whole held what belt.

I believe RVD was Hardcore Champ, beat Hardy for Euro and Kane for IC.. However. Not sure.

I actually got flooded out and missed the Owen/Bulldog match on that Raw in March 1997. Saw parts of it on the weekend shows, but not all the way through.
I did finally tape it off 24/7 due to the MNW show. It's a great match. In fact it might be worth getting that Raw DVD to get it.

I believe the Hardcore unification match was RVD (IC champ at the time) vs Dreamer on RAW sometime in 2002. Awesome match. I think RVD/Hardy was the European unification match, not too sure though.
