For my illustrious 1000th post, I thought I'd ask you fellow Crappers if you reckon any of the following will win either the WWE, World Heavyweight or ECW Titles this year?
- Jeff Hardy - Matt Hardy - MVP - Mr Kennedy - Shelton Benjamin - Umaga
None of these have had a World Title reign yet, but I feel that in 2008 any one of these people could finally get that push. Does anybody agree?

If Shelton proves himself in matches against Punk, he'll be ECW Champion.
Also, I think that MVP will be traded to Raw in the Draft. Possibly becoming WWE Champion, but I'm not so sure.

Most likely is MVP with the World Heavyweight Title, followed by Shelton. But the ECW title doesn't anywhere near equal the WWE or WHC, so it's irrelevant

I don't think MVP will be champion. Not this year. I could be wrong, but I just doubt it

Matt and Umanga have the worse chance of getting it. Can't see Kennedy getting the belt on RAW. A MVP title reign on Smackdown is possible and imo the most likely of the choices to get a world title. If Jeff gets the belt, it probably won't be anything long term . Finally Shelton is on ECW so him winning the ECW Title means very little.

I hope Umaga gets a world title (not ECW) next year. I would love for one of the Hardys to get a world title as well. I don't see Shelton winning one unless it's the ECW Championship, which I see as about as prestigious as the US Title or the defunct European title.
Kennedy is a strong candidate, but I think he'd be better suited for the World title than the WWE title. Although the WWE title would fit MVP's look, I think he too is better suited for the World title.

Part of me still thinks Jeff is too small for Vince (muscular wise, anyway). Vince didn't even want to give Punk the title because he lookd like a 'string bean'.
Umaga is too one dimensional to be world champ, maybe if they get him cutting more promos.

MVP seems like the likely choice. His US Title run will probably end at or around Wrestlemania, then he can go for the world title in Summer/Fall.

Shelton will probably get the ECW title, sooner or later.

I can see Mr. Kennedy having a great title run. He's the only one I can see that has the personality and the ring skills to do it.

I'd love to see Drew McIntyre get a run with a belt this year. I've heard he's been traded to Raw and is meant to be on Heat this Sunday.

I can see Jeff Hardy holding the WWE title for alittle while. And Shelton getting the ECW title seems likely.

No, other than perhaps Kennedy.

I think we'll see Jeff Hardy finally get the WWE Championship sometime in 2008. Out of the others on the list, as long as they can build up Shelton into a credible opponent for Punk, I see him winning the ECW championship.
As for the others, not really. Kennedy's messed up his 07 pushes way too much. If he has a good 08, I can possibly see him being a contender for 09, though. Umaga just doesn't seem like World Title material. I can see the other Hardy brother being US Champion (finally), but not a world title contender. MVP, I can see being a contender, but not a champion.

I can see MVP being a nice challenger to Cena and possibly beating Cena for the title by Survivor Series.

By this summer Matt Hardy and Edge will be feuding for the World Heavyweight Championship. That has the potential to be the Bret vs Shawn of this generation.

RAW has an overcrowded main event, so Kennedy's chances of breaking in are dubious, especially after his much-publicized screwups, but they haven't completely given up on him yet. If Jeff wins the title, it will be during his current push or not during this year at all. Umaga exists only to make faces look good for overcoming a "monster," and has no business anywhere near a world title. He'll be lucky to win a midcard championship again to make him look like a credible threat.
Smackdown, on the other hand, really needs more guys in its main event picture, but WWE shows little or no sign of realizing it. Still, both Matt and MVP are viable possibilities.
ECW is always wide-open. The odds of Shelton winning the ECW belt are much better than even.
Therefore, in terms of probability of winning a world title this year, I'd rank them as follows from most likely to least:
1. Shelton 2. Matt* 3. Jeff* 4. MVP 5. Kennedy 6. 7. 8. Umaga
*One may win a world title, but definitely not both.
