God, I loved... LOVED Orton chasing the title.
I haven't been excited for someone chasing the title since ...... well, never really. Even when he lost at Summerslam I was still pumped. It made me want Orton to want it more. I would watch every Raw to see who he'd kick in the head or how he'd get at Cena.
Now I just do not care. At first I thought it was that stupid ass spinner title (And it is a small part of it) but this title reign seems lack luster.
His win against HBK was great but everything else has sucked. I love the One Man Dynasty stuff..... But something is missing.

I think it's heat he's missing, something that Edge seems to have an abundance of on Smackdown.
It doesn't seem like he's the champion right now, at least to me.

people are much more concerned with Hardy's push then Orton's title reign.

Strikes against Orton: Not beating Cena Losing to HHH, then needing Umaga to beat up on him to get the win later. Getting laid out by old ass HBK 20 time in a row or some shit. Cheap ways of retaining (Intentional DQ over HBK, JBL run in against Jericho) Being Flair's first win in his comeback. Clean loss to Hardy.
It's not hard to see why he has NO heat. Hopfully he will beat Hardy (who is awesome, don't get me wrong) clean and have some heat going into WM.

Yeah, aside from what I percieve as serious deficiencies in skill and charisma, Orton's suffering from what I call "Lex Luger Syndrome". He became the champ without beating "THE Champ", ie Cena, just like Luger became the champ without beating Flair way back when.

He became the champ without beating "THE Champ", ie Cena, just like Luger became the champ without beating Flair way back when. Plus he's got the charisma and personality of talc. Personally I am not surprised people loved Orton chasing the title. Orton represented the "not Cena" for everybody tired of Cena. Now that Cena is not there, we are presented with Randy Orton instead of "not Cena". And Randy Orton...is not that interesting.

I don't know. I'm not a fan of chases because, in my humble opinion, a wrestler who keeps chasing after a title after several ppv is a crappy wrestler because if he was so good then he should have won it in his first title match. I also hate the fact that a chase means seeing the 2 same wrestlers fighting over and over again.

the chase is more fun... as long as it doesn't last too long. (see: Animal, the)

Orton always look like he was sleeping backstage and was thrown out there for his promo without being given time to wake up properly...
Or probably he's bored by the sound of his own voice as well...
I don't buy the "One Man Dynasty" thing: where's the charisma, where's the drive? I only see a young guy standing in the ring with a drowsy look on his face, speaking in a flat voice.
Matches are ok, but the rest is dull.
