So, what's your favorite way for a champ to wear their title belt?

Around the waist. Anything else annoys the s*** out of me
EDIT: OK, correction I didn't mind the Johnny Nitro hang over the crotch thing

Shoulder for interviews, waist for coming down to the ring.

Shoulder for interviews, waist for coming down to the ring. Seconded, especially if they're doing the interview in a suit or something. I also like it when a wrestler carries the strap folded up neatly, like Flair and Arn used to do.

My own personal belief is this: When you're going to the ring for a title defense, wear it around your waist. Under any other circumstances, do with it what you will.

Let's me see what my good friend Morishima thinks about this whole thing.... ![](http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/5207/lf19d3cd719783d8b1e0225qq2.jpg) I agree with this man.

My ideal situation would be to have a hot-ass valet like Sunny or somebody carry it over her head like a ring girl. Other than that, I would be an over the shoulder guy. They look big and have some weight to them, so I think it would feel awkward. Plus, I think it looks weird wearing a giant belt with just a speedo on. Another thing is, I would want to hold onto it, since I busted my ass for it, and I would want to hold it and see it constantly.

I personally think that the two best 'non-traditional' ways of carrying the belt have been by Johnny Nitro/Morison (the hanging it above the crotch) because of how well it fit his character, and when the Briscoe's wear it around their neck. Once again, perfectly fits the character.
But my all time favorite is in my sig.

I prefer them to actually wear it. I see that boxers and MMA fighters also tend to wear it to and from the ring. I suppose over the shoulder for a photo that would not show it if worn. I agree with the thought that it was classy when Flair would fold it up neatly and not hold it up with the straps all flailing about!

I like how the Briscoes put it around their necks. Taker use to do that too, when he was in biker mode.

Around the waist is fine too

With 20 other belts. The Quack pic in this thread is great, and there was one of Ultimo Dragon with all nine of his belts in a wheelbarrow at one time.

Around the waist dammit!
I also mark like CRAZY when the challenger for a title actually PUTS ON THE DAMN BELT THEY JUST WON (see Piper: Royal Rumble '92).
Although the way Morishima carries it in his mouth is about the coolest damn thing ever, I must concede.

Definitely in the tradition 'round the waist' fashion. I dunno, it seems slightly disrespectful wearing it any other way. Over the shoulder is ok during promos though.
The old 'round the neck' is weight dependent in my opinion. Briscoes are thin, there's enough leeway between flesh and leather to make it look cool. Taker was big, and was skating on the thin ice between 'ok' and 'you look stupid', Bubba Ray Dudley fell straight through the ice and perished at the bottom of the 'too fat to wear it like that' pond, when he did it.

Well since it is called a BELT, I would say arround the waist. It is not a Title Necklace, Or a Ttile crotch guard, or even a Title Shoulder guard. It is a Title Belt

I love the Quack-Dragon suit of belt armor, but I'm also a mark for the dog collar.

![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v80/tradiferis/quack.jpg) Seriously, the dude's got a different belt for just about every single day of the week. I wish I had that many actual belts, let alone gold title belts.

Shoulder for interviews, waist for coming down to the ring. Business in the front, party in the back, eh? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Agreed with the above. Shoulder for interviews, waist for matches. Although there are sometimes it fits the character to do something different
Like Austin just carrying it because he doesn't give a smurf
